Our first but certainly will not be our last visit. Had the opportunity to spend three nights at this hotel that nestles at the foot of the Drakensberg Mountains. We were mis week and out of season and there were only a few rooms occupied, but the attention to detail was not compromised. Rooms were comfortable and we had an...

Great place to stay, will definitely be back with friends. Lovely people and friendly. Had some snow on the mountain this morning. Accommodation more than adequate and food good. No fault with cottage except would like to have seen a shower rather than a small bath.

The owners were very friendly and the staff were excellent. Accommodation was warm and well appointed with a fireplace in our cottage. Lovely private chalets with incredible views. The chef outdid himself with the lovely meals, very wholesome and nourishing and the best apple muffins!! Very quiet resort during the day, but at night the friendships begin, singing and braaing...

We have been visiting St Bernards since 1994 and it is our favourite place to relax and have fun! Ian and Cheri are always extremely welcoming and go out of their way to tend to one's every need. It was wonderful to meet the new General Manager, Damian! He is an amazing chef and has made many changes. The lounge...

We recently held our first African wide team workshop at St Bernards Peak. The team of the Lodge were incredible, and the workshop facilities were great and very comfortable for the 20 of us that were together for the week. The restaurant and food was good and the bar was cozy, warm and ideal for relaxing at the end or...

We recently visited St Bernards Peak Mtn Lodge, and were overwhelmed at the reception given to us by our hosts Ian and Cherry. It is the most value for money in South Africa, let alone the berg. The tranquil, peaceful atmosphere coupled with the warm hospitality is something rare in south africa. Also, with an abundance of activities, all included...

Had a nice 4 day stay at St Bernard's Peak. Good food, lovely surroundings, very very nice welcoming owners - in fact everyone was very friendly including the families and guests who treat the place like home. Just needs a bit of money injected into it. It seems like the owners are quite happy to just keep existing guests happy...

Dear Moira and Basil Thank you for your time spent reviewing St Bernard’s and for your both good and critical comments. With an older establishment, maintenance and improvements never stop and you can only imagine the vast amounts of cash that we have injected into the place. The bathrooms are a priority and we will be upgrading a further 4...

My friends an I went to St Bernards Peak this past weekend over the long weekend. We had the most amazing weekend away. The hospitality was 1st class and was the food. We went horse riding and mountain climbing and managed to get to see some Bushmens Paintings. Our Guide Thomas was great and very helpful. If you are looking...

It is very difficult to write a review as our experience was both excellent and poor. Excellent It is a beautiful and peaceful place. The staff were super friendly and extremely helpful. The place is very children friendly. The activities they organised were great; we had a wonderful horse ride and a super unforgettable braai at the river. They have...
