Hi January was OK. Keep in mind the lodge is not that close to the crater gate and serengeti. It takes a couple of hours to get to the crater so we opted for a camp on the rim, more expensive but worth the money in my opinion. We stayed at Rhotia to support their project but 3 nights were too long. There is not a lot to do there. Hope this helps.
