This is ny first time visiting Tanzania (or Africa for that matter) and I was nervous about a lot of different things (food and insects mainly) but coming here felt like a second home. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and the food was good and plentiful. The staff took us around the area, giving an insight into the locals and culture I wouldn't have missed for anything. The location is fantastic, close to the major national parks of Tanzania. I can't recommend this place enough for a stay in the region, I'm hoping to come back.
Phantastic stay at the Tanzanice farm with a brilliant local team which covered all our needs and was so helpful in organizing the trips to Ngorogoro, the village and the coffee farm. We got a lot of impressions, how people live and what they do Thanks to everybody. Suitable for gusts who want contact to oocals and to the liocal livibng stlye. Not suitable for guests who want a hotel Bar and Flat screen TV :-)
This is just a 14km drive to the main gate to Ngorongoro making it perfect for visiting the crater and travelling through to the Serengeti. . The rooms are clean and tidy. All meals use produce grown on the farm and local people as staff. Supportive of the local community and helping it to grow and develop. Great for those wanting a more european setting
We stayed here end of October last year. I had corresponded with Vidar prior to our arrival and he had kindly organised drivers and bookings for us to visit the local experiences. The staff were very friendly, especially Olivia, who seemed to run things in the owners absence. She did a great job and they made a real effort to provide meals that we would like. The property was very clean and comfortable, and it was great to be able to get laundry done (even it was hugely expensive $45 USD for a load, vs $10NZ for the same amount in Sth Africa!). Apart from that, we were very happy with the accommodation, and would recommend to others.
Spent the Christmas here with my family. We are having a wonderful time here, visit to Ngorongoro, looking at lions, elephants and other animals. Everything here is very clean and we feel safe. The farm is enclosed with fence made from plants and local people are all around us making it an authentic experience. We are here with our young daughters, 4 and 5 years old. It's no problem staying with them here but they are slightly young for the safaris as then we stay in the car the whole day. Trips to town and visit the locals were fun.
