My husband and I went here last week for lunch. The food was okay, nothing special about it. But the view from the entrance very breathtaking, we could see tiny Borobudur and the hotel was very very very beautiful. I wish I could stay there but we didn't get any room left. Maybe next time, I would definitely stay here. Oh...

We landed here after 40 straight hours of travel form NY, and it fit the bill to lounge, relax and do much of nothing. It is an exceptional hotel in design and layout. Aman is a very different style property than I had been used to and this was the first I had stayed in. The level of detail and...

Amanjiwo remains our favourite Aman after 3 stays spread over a decade. To my wife and I, its unique appeal is not just due to the unparalleld views of Candi Borobudur or the seemingly timeless architecture of Ed Tuttle, it's what lies beyond the Amanjiwo grounds: the sense of belonging when bicycling through the many friendly villages nearby, the simple...

... treat yourself to a stay like this. Aman Jiwo is truly over-the-top expensive compared to the types of places I usually stay, and I don't expect to spend this kind of coin ever again, frankly. But, having said that, this is the kind of place that is definitely worth doing once in your life. You'll never forget it! It's...

We went to the Amanjiwo Hotel for lunch only. The hotel lobby and entire design of the hotel is breath taking but the view on Borobudur Temple even better. This is the good part of the rating. The rather poor part is that lunch was totally overpriced (even considering that you pay for the view). Even my helper at home...

We are used to staying at top end hotels and this was the first time we had stayed in such a hotel in Indonesia. It's quite a long drive from the airport but once we arrived we were very impressed. Firstly the Ed Tuttle designed hotel is a masterpiece of modern design based on Borobudur Temple itself. Upon walking up...

Only one word: breathtaking. The view of Borobudur temple from the lobby and restaurant is unique. Time doesn't matter, the only thing you have to do us to relax and enjoy. 3 things a can only recommend. - Book a pool villa - Try the Indonesian menu (sample of 6 different Indonesian dishes) - experience the sunrise over Borobudur temple.

Staying at amanjiwo is like an art, the art of understanding the sense of your life, the art of being touched by the unparalleled service provided by the adorable amanjiwo family, the art of looking all around the beauty of the world, inside the resort with the magnificent architecture and outside with this fabulous nature where Borobudur has been eriged...

I stayed at Amajiwo in December with Pifflove (see review below). I agree with everything in Pifflove's review and especially wanted to second that Didit is the best guide I've ever had traveling, and whatever they are paying him, it's not enough. Also, I wanted to add a couple of thoughts, especially when compared with my stay at the Amankila:...
