We are a mature couple visiting family in Penicuik which we do several times a year. There is a shortage of hotels/B&Bs in this area and this was the first time we have stayed at Peggyslea Farm. It is situated just off the main A702 road and is within a 5 minute drive of Penicuik. This is a working farm...

We stayed here for 4 nights as part of 2 months driving ourselves around the UK. It was about a 15-20 minute drive to the Park-and-Ride at Straiton, from where we took the bus into Edinburgh. This worked extremely well as we avoided driving into the city centre. It was nice to escape in the afternoons to the quiet and...

Hi Folks, I must admit I'm not a great fan of B&B because I'm not comfortable in staying in places which are quite clearly somebody else homes (its just me). Stopped over for two nights for a local wedding, and very happy with the choice of accommodation, comfortable beds, and big bathrooms with a proper size bath and shower. Food was good and the 'help yourself' kitchen for fresh milk etc just added to what was a nice relaxing couple of days. Our friends stayed in central Edinburgh and we...

Stayed here for 2 nights with friends whilst up in Edinburgh for a wedding. Cannot praise the place and the family who run it enough. Absolutely superb. Beautiful location and stunning views over the surrounding hills. Immaculately clean well appointed rooms (better than much more expensive hotels we have stayed in). The breakfasts are fantastic too. Cannot think of a...

We (Me and my wife and another couple with their daughter) came to Peggyslea by accident and what a memorable stay it turned out to be. Very spacious and clean rooms with comfortable beds, spacious clean toilets and a lovely dining area where we were served with a delicious Scottish breakfast. The surroundings were captivating with miles and miles of...
