Reading the reviews, I was really prepared for a rustic experience--our group of four booked two days of tours but only a one night stay due to our fears that the conditions would be too primitive. I wish we had stayed longer! The conditions were excellent--of course, you're in the jungle, so no air conditioning or other amenities some travellers...

the venue itself is somewhat run down - possibly maintenance is difficult in the hot wet climat.e. however the heat and humidity were extreme- and there isnt even a fan in the bedroom cabins. Apart from that the staff were friendly informative and helpful. we loved going pirhana fishing, loved the jungle walking.

If you are looking for an authentic once in a lifetime experience look no further. As previous reviewers have said it is very basic and can be tough with no air conditioning as its so humid. The staff are very friendly and considering where you are the food is amazing, all home made. Our tour guide Alex was incredible, there...

Unfortunately we went at the end of the dry season, meaning very little in the way of wildlife and the seasonal lagoon was dry. This meant quite a long walk from the river to the lodge (and having to get out and push the boat on the way there). Otherwise, the location and setting are excellent, the staff friendly and...

This place looks exactly as jungle lodge should look like. Forget about luxury, but resting on hammock on the terrace surrounded by lush greenery reminded ourselves what is relax. There is a great atmosphere in the village. All feel like friends, bell calls on meal and in the evening we all meet at the bar with a drink and music....

We did a 3 day 2 at the Amazon Village. The boat trip getting there is definitely an adventure and a highlight. It makes you realise how remote you are. The lodge is nice. Rooms are basic but quite comfortable. No hot water though. But with the heat humidity, the cold shower actually is quite nice and refreshing. No power...

Just sent a amazing few days here. Our guide Marco angilo was very informative and attentive. As I am a coeliac I was a little worried that food may be a problem, although I carried bread with me.one night there was nothing on the buffet that I could eat but on informing angilo , separate meat was immediately provided.

I stayed here with my family in August. The boat trip to get there was definitely a highlight, with the chance to see the meeting of the waters. Our rooms were basic but comfortable as was to be expected - no complaints about lack of hot water as the air temperature stays so warm that cold showers are actually really...
