We go to Burnham regularly, but had never visited the White Harte for lunch before. We just had dover sole with seasonal vegetables and it was delightful. Raspberry pavlova (with a different name) was OK but would have been quite delicious with real cream instead of the "out of an aerosol" version. Overall, it was a good experience worth repeating.

We stayed overnight at the White heart as we were at a wedding reception at the Royal Yacht Club. The room we had was a very tiny one in the loft overlooking the river Crouch. It cost the same as larger more accessible rooms on the lower floors and we considered this unfair. The breakfast in the morning was good...

We stayed in this Inn at the end of July. We went to a wedding being held nearby and booked accommodation nearly a year in advance as we were going to a wedding nearby. I rarely write TP reviews and I don't think I've ever felt compelled to write a bad one... but this place.. really?! seriously in 2016?? I...

Attractive traditional hotel in a great waterside location; we opted for one of the superior rooms with a view over the estuary. It had a lovely south facing bay window with built in seating where you could watch the world go by. There was also attractive exposed brickwork on a couple of the walls. The breakfast was served promptly in...

We stayed for one night at Ye Old White Harte in Burnham-on-Crouch in Essex because it had a first class website showing apparently beautiful accommodation (priced accordingly) describing itself as ‘a traditional 17th century English establishment’ with ‘a traditional yet stylish restaurant’, ‘which has come a long way since it opened in the 1650’s’. This led us to believe it...

Booked overnight stay for after my brothers wedding. On arrival, I immediately wished I'd booked the night pre-wedding too. Beautiful seafront location. Perfect room for myself and two daughters set within the friendly family-feel pub that provided a lovely breakfast. Shame it was a flying visit. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.

I would like to start off this review by saying that it's hard to describe how freaking amazing the beef and ale pie is. OMG I was in heaven. Now being heavily tattooed is often a distraction in many quaint venues but the staff of Ye Olde White Heart took us in without batting an eyelid. The room was fantastic,...

We stayed here for 1 night after my partners sisters wedding a couple of miles away. On arrival earlier in the afternoon to check in for keys and drop a car off the landlord was very friendly, relaxed and had a good sense of humour. I loved the bar, dark wooden panelling and original features which so often get ripped...

We stayed just the one night at this pub. We were welcomed very warmly when we arrived and shown to our room overlooking the water by a young lady with great customer service skils and banter. The room was olde worlde and a bit dated and basic, but it was clean and the view over the river was fantastic. Beds...

Had an evening meal here and certainly wasnt disappointed. Fantastic location overlooking the Crouch and benefits from plenty of outside seating which is lovely and lets you sit with a pint and watch the world go by. Quite Olde Worlde inside and does serve real ale. After a quick drink we entered the restaurant and were greeted by a very...
