Food quality first class+, as was the service. We wern't staying the night but the accommodation looks excellent and welcoming, I reckon that we've finally found an East coast, first class hotel serving a quality choice of food both prepared and served by quality staff. "We shall return" as someone once said!!!

I returned to the North Star for dinner in April. As always, the service was exemplary. All staff worked as a team and went out of their way to deliver. The food at The North Star is incredibly fresh and the menu is very broad. Everything is cooked to order and if something isn't on the menu the chef will...

Ideal little hotel for good food, friendly staff and clean accommodation. Situated in an ideal spot for walking, birdwatching and visiting other coves, parks and lovely Filey. It is very popular so early booking is necessary.

We visited for Sunday lunch. The North Star Hotel is a traditional hotel serving good traditional food. I had the Sunday roast which was served piping hot with all the usual trimmings. The desserts were served at the table from a sweet trolley containing some amazing choices. The staff were pleasant and obliging. We will return.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch after a morning in Filey. The lounge where we ate was lovely and warm and welcoming and the staff very attentive. The set menu was very good value. The sweet trolley is wonderful and difficult to resist - once you've seen the array - not the same effect written on a menu. Don't stop doing this...

The restaurant and bar area also of a...

We have been coming to the North Star for about 25 years and we have never been disappointed. The staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble, they are always very welcoming. When we arrived there had been a mix up with our dates, they were expecting us the following day. With in less than 30 minutes they sorted...
