Just an amazing place. We were so very pleased with our stay and would recommend it to anyone. The owners go out of their way to ensure we experienced GBI to the fullest. Amazing vies and the food was to die for.

My partner and I needed a getaway from the city and booked to stay at the Mount St Paul estate last minute the night before. Chris called me almost immediately to confirm our booking and to offer us further information about the trip which we really appreciated. We booked to travel on the ferry from Auckland and had a great...

Have happily stayed here before, this time was a 'new menu' check visit and became a winters day lunch of epic proportions. Magnificent property in a wonderful setting, warm to bubbly hosts with talent to charm and entertain. You will have a unique and priceless experience.

We stayed for 3 nights. Ideal location just a couple of minutes drive from Claris airport, some local cafes and general store. Large bedroom with 2 balconies. Really nice views out over Kaitoke beach and very peaceful. Our hosts ,Teara and Chris, were very nice. They left us alone when required but also offered plenty of advice. Fantastic breakfasts and...

So glad we discovered this place on Trip Advisor! Our stay here at Mount St Paul Estate was excellent. The huge bed was so comfortable and we both had one of the best night's sleep that we had had in a very long time. Teara and Chris are excellent hosts and Teara's culinary skills are fantastic! She catered for my...

From the time we stepped off the ferry from Auckland and to be greeted by Chris.. and then to return by air 5 days later..was a truly delightful experience...with Teara spoiling us with her culinary skills as well The Lodge is very well appointed and to marvel at the night sky unimpeded by street lighting..was truly magical Great Barrier Island...

A comfortable room, scenery from a window, lovely cuisine, a hearty welcome by Chris and Teara, and then very charming Lili ! All was the best fantastically! In case of trouble, I was given very kind support by them. In the island, we can see and enjoy the original state of nature. Particularly, the hot spring...

Great Barrier Island is fabulously beautiful but as a destination everything is pretty basic and remote. Mount St. Paul Estate is about the least basic as it gets and a very comfortable and welcoming oasis. Don't expect top end luxury but do expect a very well appointed, clean and well kept establishment, with really excellent meals. It is run by...

When my parents (visiting from Germany) and I returned from our trip to GBI and the 4 days- / 3-nights-stay at Teara's and Chris' respectively, there was only one question to ask ourselves to assess the whole experience -- Would we book it again -- easy, YES, without a doubt, first choice! Awesome place in a superb location, welcoming and...
