One of the best interpretive displays I've ever seen - you could easily spend all day inside, looking and learning. Great for children too - very interactive. Excellent food in the cafe. A bird watcher's paradise (less so for photographers as you can't get up close and personal out on the reserve). Fantastic watchtower close by with disabled access. Marred...

You can cycle from Oulu (or Liminka, or Lumijoki) vi cycling paths separated from the roads. June is probably quiet time since the migration season has not...

Visited a couple of times. Nice tower overlooking feeder and lots of info including maps of local sites. Probably not optimal time but we saw ruff lekking (displaying) and Pallid Harrier, Common Cranes and Otolan Bunting so not too bad.

Liminganlahti (Liminka Bay) Visitor Centre is an excellent visitor centre for birdwatchers. An interactive exhibition about birds offers plenty information (species identification, migration, sounds etc.). The birdwatching tower just few hundred meters from the centre is good place to observe eg. black-tailed godwits (Limosa limosa), ruffs (Philomachus pugnax), pallid harriers (Circus macrouros) etc. There is also café/restaurant in the centre....
