We camped for 5 nights at Malealea in December 2016 and found the lodge to be more geared to overseas backpackers. The ablutions could do with a little TLC. The guides on horses seem quite experienced

It is a corner of paradise far away from traffic jam and cars. The lodge itself worth the visit in a sunny day and pays back those 7/8 km of gravel road necessary to reach it. It is possible to go walking with the guides to the mountains or the village; the choir and local band delight visitors every afternoon;...

Thank you for visiting Malealea and for your review. I am glad you enjoyed the wide-open spaces that Malealea offers and the opportunity to get out and embrace the interaction with the community. Considering that you can eat as much as you like for dinner (main course, dessert and coffee/tea) we feel that dinner is reasonably priced. Breakfast is a...

This is a good place for a solo break with rooms and activities coming at an affordable price with no heavy single supplements . Malealea is a nice place and service at the Lodge itself is great but management could look into a few things to improve it more. I know the place is solar powered and electrical devices are...
