Reviewed 16 February 2017 Note re-naming, as above. Otherwise everything is the same - the willing and helpful service, the comfortable rooms, cleanliness, hot water (so important in chilly Chachapoyas), the breakfast, convenient location. A winner - look no further.

Reviewed 11 August 2016 Situated at 2 blocks from the plaza de Arma, this hotel has all to please: full of charm (colonial style); helpful staff, good breakfast, etc.We had a triple room and found it very comfortable and clean, with hot water.
Reviewed 31 July 2016 We stayed 3 nights with a 2 night side trip to Gocta Lodge followed by another 4 nights. We throughly enjoyed Casa Vieja and Chachapoyas. Nice rooms in historic mansion, great staff and great location.
