Very enjoyable family-run hotel and restaurant. Good value compared to some in Fussen and Schwangau and less than 15 minutes by car. Huge room and nice view. We were unaware of any trains on the nearby track during the night but some do zip by in the day. Check out the HIghline, a very high suspension bridge in nearby Reutte.

We had a deluxe room with nice views of mountains and fields. Breakfast was basic Austrian – enough but nothing special. Soft boiled eggs were closer to hard (but maybe this is typical Austrian since we were served hard boiled more than soft). Breakfast not served until 7:30. Since so many people want to get hiking or to see a...

What a great restaurant! Excellent weisbier, sausages, potatoes, we found the sauerkraut was the best in Bavaria (which is really saying something), good salads, too. On a Sunday night, Fussen seemed dead and we couldn't find a restaurant with more than 2 people in it- then we stumbled upon Gasthof Zum Schwannen, warm, jam-packed, and lively. Excellent service, no problem...

Our three-bed room was big, clean and with a mountainview. Very good standard in room and bathroom. Though we arrived late, at 20.30, we did get excellent service and a very good dinner at the restaurant. Very nice staff. Breakfast buffe was at our satisfaction. We stayed in the old part of the hotel. It is situated most far from...

The view from our balcony was of the castle ruins and the suspension bridge, just beautiful! The staff were very helpful and friendly, even though we only spoke very little German! The wifi was good and the breakfast buffet was great! If we travel to this area again we will stay at this hotel!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel-Gasthof zum Schwanen. It is located in a really small town, but it was a great location for visiting Neuschwanstein, which was only 20 minutes away. The view from our room was beautiful. We had a triple on the top floor of the annex building. The room was very spacious and very clean, our...

If there is one place I keep remembering from my vacation, this would be it. We stayed here for two nights and it was the most enjoyable two nights. The owners speak little English, but that doesn't stop them from smiling at you. We had dinner both nights there. What a pleasure. The food was great, the atmosphere was great....

We were given the room key and wifi code by a highly efficient lady on arrival. When we went to the bar it was difficult to get served and it turned out that the waiter called Claudio had started that day. The restaurant was busy and we went into dinner fearing that the understaffing would mean a poor meal. Well...

Very cute, modern hotel in a small town on the border of Austria/Germany. Close to Fussen and the sights of the Romantic Road. Our room was very spaceous and state-of-the-art new, as well as child friendly, with a wood panel separating the children's sleeping area. Hotel is right by the train station, but was very quiet and peaceful, with views...

Me and my wife stayed here for 2 nights, before and during a hike in the mountains from hut to hut. The hotel was booked by our travel agency, and that always frightens me a bit, but this was an excellent hotel. The rooms were very large with a modern bathroom. They have an own restaurant of a very decent...
