I stayed here with my 2 children and we can't praise it highly enough! Our first safari and no idea what to expect. We were met by Elaine on arrival who was lovely & explained everything & showed us to our fabulous room. A platter of food was prepared for us, followed by afternoon tea and our first venture out!...

Wow, absolutely amazing!!!! We stayed for 2 nights while on our honeymoon in June. We loved every minute. June is low season so we were lucky enough to have our own private game drives. Francis our driver was brilliant, he was very knowledgeable and did his absolute best to ensure we saw the big 5! Would definitely recommend Rippons.

We had an excellent two night stay in June: It was low season and quiet so we almost had the place to ourselves. We had been pleasantly upgraded to a lovely room in the long barn overlooking one of the pools and the lovely gardens. Food was excellent and very plentiful, drink selection was good and fantastic value. We managed...

We were a small group of about 10 people that travelled together. The welcome was warm, check-in took a bit long but all was forgiven when we were taken to our very comfortable rooms. Our two days in Rippon's surpassed all our expectations. The hospitality was fantastic, food always delicious and Brian's stories gripping. Our children, aged 8 and 10 could not stop talking about the holiday all the way back to Cape Town. During our 3 game drives we saw just about everything, but the highlight was when we saw both the lion...

“Choose the long barn...patio area is a sun trap...room looks out over the valley and watering hole...rooms are massive with the biggest bathroom I've ever seen!”

“All 3 room types are very spacious and modern. The long barn is good for couples and it overlooks the pool and valley. There are 2 annexe rooms which are the size of cottages inside which would be perfect for families or a group of friends.”

“Couples should ask for a room in the Long Barn as no children allowed. Rooms in the house are 2 floor suites ideal for families or several couples travelling together. The Old Vet building has around 5 smaller suites but still much larger than an average European Hotel, and have seperate bunk bed room for children”
