Newgrange Lodge is like a boutique hostel - private ensuite rooms, communal areas including kitchen but good breakfast provided if you choose this option. Good value for money. Great location just yards from the wonderful Newgrange ancient monument.

Close to Newgrange is the only real plus. Rooms are OK but beds are pretty hard. TV is the size of a postage stamp. Bathroom is small. Nothing close by for eating unless you drive yo town. Facility is spacious with lots of common areas. Folks are very nice. Rates are fairly inexpensive.

Visited with 5 kids and 2 adults to visit Tayto park. We originally booked 2 rooms, on arrival we were able to switch to a large family room that hosted all of us. The staff were really helpful and recommended a great family restaurant in Drogheda. Room was basic but clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast was lovely. Not...

We only stayed here due to its proximity to Newgrange megalithic site and the ability to get there early for tickets. It was very noisy the night we stayed, with a huge racket at 3am which woke us with a start. The room was small, pretty basic and not in great condition. Sound-proofing was poor. The double bed had a...

Seemed like a good place to stop overnight before our flight back home from DUB. We also visited Bru Na Boinne across the road. Our triple room was actually a double with an extra bed. It also doubles as the room for customers with disabilities. The bed was well worn. Even the mattress topper couldn't disguise the sinking feeling as...

For anyone wanting to visit Newgrange or Knowth, Newgrange Lodge could hardly be more convenient - a few minutes walk gets you to the Visitor Centre. It's clean and comfortable -perhaps a bit basic (no toiletries or tea/coffee making facilities) but you get a good continental breakfast and it's good value. The staff were friendly and helpful. We could have...

The toilet had not been cleaned before we checked in. There were cobwebs every where. The bed had busted springs, very uncomfortable. There was a lot of noise through the night, from people chatting at reception in the early hours and from the camping facilities outside. The only real positive is the area and its close proximity to Tayto Park.

A misuderstanding occured with regards my accommadition arrangements and the early receptionist tried het to resolve the issue to the best of her ability to prevent me from checking out. (Which I commend her on) So I just went with the flow in helping her do just that. However the late reception lady showed no consideration towards me over the...

The photographs of this accommodation look ok. On a positive note the Irish lady on the reception was lovely, However... 1) The beds were so creaky only 1 of our party of 4 could sleep properly, as with every turn the beds were rattling and creaking. 2) There were several foreign workers who seemed to be connected to the hotel...
