We stayed for 2 nights in room 1, on arrival we had a friendly greeting and told where our room was. The hotel was warm, unfortunately our room wasn't. No heating was turned on in the room and even after having our radiator on for 2 days it still wasn't warm. The room was ok, quite a decent sized room...

Came away on a voucher and to be fair you couldn't ask for a better deal. The location is great, with walks straight onto the Tissington trail, however if the hotel hired out bikes this would have been even better. We had a meal in the evening, however if felt like a school canteen, it was far too light with...

Firstly a BIG thank you to Sarah the waitress who was able to inform us of the best places to visit in the local area, which allowed us to get the most of our stay. Hotel was a 'doddle' to find and had ample parking. Reception area was comfortable and scrupulously clean, staff were warm and welcoming. The dining area...

Stayed here last week for two nights and was well impressed. Room very clean and the food good, staff were friendly and very helpful. You can join the Tissington trail at the rear of the hotel and the village itself is well worth a visit.

Very close to Thorpe Cloud and Tissington trail. Good location for visitors to Peak District. Good all round hotel . We ate out only based on price at the restaurant. Our Breakfast was basic value. Suited our needs for the night.

Stayed overnight with a friend and our deal included sparkling afternoon tea, pamper package, bed and breakfast. All of which were brilliant. The staff extremely friendly and helpful, food very good and bed really comfortable. Thanks to all the staff and a special mention to Kerry for our treatments (I've not felt so relaxed for a long time!!)/

What a place! We stayed for a two-night break and could not fault anything at all. Newton House is a lovely hotel with a home from home feel where nothing is too much trouble for the staff who on numerous occasions went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed, were warm and comfortable, well fed,...

We stayed for two nights a weeks ago and found the staff friendly. The full English breakfasts were very enjoyable with nice bacon and lovely eggs. Breakfast Service was good in dining room in spite of full capacity. The room was clean and overlooked the back garden, and contrary to another review, there was soap etc provided. Although we arrived...
