We were bought a wowcher for Christmas and rang in May to book our stay. Everything was fine until I mentioned our Wowcher Voucher and was told immediately 'We are full' When I questioned this I was told I had had my voucher since Christmas I should have booked by January and now I'm too late and didn't I realise...

Just terrible. Cold room, poor food selection even worse management not interested in any issues and refused to even discuss why we so unhappy; a case of like it or lump it. Trading standards should investigate the advertised was/now pricing.

This is not a premier in or a chain. If you want corporate sanitation this is not for you. But a big fluffy tomcat and a friendly staff group all make this a lovely quirky little hotel. If you want to walk Dovedale is around a mile away and the tissington trail is at the back of the hotel. We...

I stayed here as a surprise for my partners birthday. I chose it based on its location to Dove Dale which was a route id chosen for us to walk. The hotel was grossly overpriced at £99 for one night including breakfast and was booked via Expedia. The building itself has been poorly renovated but it's in desperate need of...

This was a lovely hotel in a lovely location. I only stayed one night as I was walking from Buxton there and returning next day. I was worn out on arrival and very weary after 18 miles of walking but was welcomed by the friendly staff and the room was very spacious, clean and bright, with all the things one...

The staffs were friendly and the hotel was in good condition. They seemed to have spent a lot of money on the hotel and it showed. Parts of the building were fairly old and were possibly part of a farm at one stage of its life. Farm buildings were in use next door not that you would know. The Hotel...

A very dog friendlly, pleasant place. Staff are really nice. The "cottage" area had emergency lighting that was so bright it was hard to sleep! The recent history of the place seems to be troubled (absentee former owners) but kept going by dedicate staff who were great... apparently the new owners are a bit more involve. a great location on...

Booked to stay at this hotel as my Husband and I was visiting Carsington Reservoir with our Rough Collie dog. We checked in around 3pm and was greeted by efficient staff who made us and our dog very welcome. We were given a lovely ensuite room in the stables. It was large and very comfortable. It had plenty of refreshments...

This hotel could not be in a better location if you wish to walk or cycle the Tissington Trail. All you do is go out the back gate and there you are. We arrived, easily found on the A515 towards Buxton from Ashbourne at about 4pm to be told the room wasn't ready(turns out there were a few that weren't...
