The amenities are dated but refreshed each year and more than adequate with constant cheap hot water. The camp site is blessed with stunning wall to wall scenery, is spacious with room galore (except on busy periods) to relax, sit back and let the kids play. We have been coming here for around 10 years and the pluses have been...

I usually stay at the Fieldhead Campsite, but it's closed for renovations at the moment, so for our annual Kinder Scout Drinking Club trip, we stayed at Coopers. Great Campsite, showers seemed to last forever for 20p, and the full English breakfast in the café is amazing. Will definitely stay again.

Having arrived Friday afternoon I knocked on the door to be met by what can only be described as the owners who live and breath misery and appear to enjoy being ignorant and rude to the people who pay for their living. The price you pay for a family, tent, gazebo, and 2 vehicles is on the steep side, but...

The campsite is well equipped and excellently located. Free drinking and washing up water and 20p showers. 10 minute walk from the station. Local pubs and post office. Beautiful walking with easy and more challenging routes. Kinder Scout and Mam Tor within an hours walk.

In need of an update in both facilities and attitude, they're not very customer-focussed, i.e. Access is via gravel tracks to each field and they complain about cars kicking up dust? The toilets, showers & dishwashing areas are primitive and you should be able to wash-up out of the weather. Can't recommend it.

Me, my partner and dog stayed 3 nights at Coopers the 25th - 28th August. We loved the location and views from our pitch on the upper field of the campsite, this field also proved the driest when the torrential rain came down the last night also. The owners where informative and polite. The shop was well stocked albeit expensive,...

We've been coming to Coopers for over a decade. Always a lovely break away from it all and the children never fail to make friends and have a great time!! The owners are lovely and have never been anything less than polite and friendly. The services are basic but that's why we like it!!

With a little effort this site could easily be rated at 4 or even 5 star, but at the moment it isn't, what is 5 star is the location and village of Edale. Don't get me wrong, I would happily go back to this site but anyone expecting anything more than basic on site amenities, should look elsewhere. What you...

Me and my husband stayed here at the weekend, arrived Friday afternoon no booking and paid £30 for 2 nights for 2 people, 1 tent. Lady owner was welcoming (male one not so much but if you say hi he does grunt at you) and we were told to pitch up in the top field which ended up to be...
