We visited the Losehill for a pre wedding break away to help with the stress levels to the lead up to our wedding a week later, however the expectations and excitement were stung as soon as we arrived at the reception.
We asked where we...More
Excellent stay in lovely hotel with exceptionally helpful and friendly staff who clearly worked well as a team.Food was delicious. Views over moorland added to the good ambience especially in the dining room and hot tub. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. We would like to returning...More
Beautiful location, stunning hotel, personal and friendly, also but slick and professional. Food is amazing and the staff take a genuine interest, ensuring your needs are met. Dinner was excellent in an award winning, but not stuffy or pretentious restaurant. Breakfast was perfect with lovely...More
We stayed for 2 nights on a special deal. We had a very comfortable room with amazing view over the peak district. On arrival we had a free glass of Prosecco and visited the spa, which had a very nice, small indoor pool and an...More
Sadly our experience didn't live up to the billing, like so many other non-function guests who have reviewed recently. Our family stay found the staff generally indifferent, going far less than the extra mile you might expect of a 4* hotel.

There is a very small railway station called Hope about a mile away. This is England so the service will be infrequent, not punctual and overpriced. There is a saying about "travelling in hope"...I'm sure the hotel would arrange transport from the station. There is also a bus service along the Hope valley - you should be able to get on the bus in Sheffield.
In either case I'd suggest ringing the hotel as I am sure they will be delighted to assist.
It is worth the effort - a gem of a place, but then I'm a bit biased as I live in the Peak District and am very fond of the whole area. Hope that helps.
