The hotel provided us with an excellent venue in an excellent country environment, for a family wedding celebration. We came from nearby, as well as from as far as Vancouver, Canada. Service provided was very professional. The food offered was fit for foodies. There was...More
Signposting to get there is not great but once you have arrived my expectations were exceeded. A very warm welcome at reception, lovely room (try and get one with a view over the lawns towards the river) with fine dining!
We have stayed at this hotel many times and this visit was as good as usual. The location is glorious, peaceful with beautiful views of Losehill and Winhill. We were lucky with the weather and were able to enjoy drinks before dinner outside where we...More
The location of Losehill House Hotel and Spa is breathtaking. Nestled in a valley with amazing Views. We pulled up and parked and felt excited about the two night stay. The reception staff were cool, business-like and lacked any warmth or welcoming spirit. We found...More
What a perfect setting. The hotel nestles in the entrance to glorious Edale with Losehill brooding behind and the river Noe running below, hidden in the wood. Lunch is in the (orangery) conservatory, some time at the end of the 19th century.

There is a very small railway station called Hope about a mile away. This is England so the service will be infrequent, not punctual and overpriced. There is a saying about "travelling in hope"...I'm sure the hotel would arrange transport from the station. There is also a bus service along the Hope valley - you should be able to get on the bus in Sheffield.
In either case I'd suggest ringing the hotel as I am sure they will be delighted to assist.
It is worth the effort - a gem of a place, but then I'm a bit biased as I live in the Peak District and am very fond of the whole area. Hope that helps.
