We stayed at Mbuyuni Farm for one night whilst driving through Tanzania. The bungalow was excellent with lots of space. The service was great - they brought the (good) food to us rather than us having to go to a restaurant. The view from our patio was superb. Just a note of warning: the road to the farm crosses a... Arriving in Dar at 3.00 we hired a car and headed off on our journey. By the time we reached Mbuyuni Farm Retreat we felt as if we had been totally integrated into the African culture. During the 4 hour drive we saw Africa in it's hectic, bright busy form. The Farm offered us a peaceful haven from which to... More

I visited the farm for a weekend with a few friends over a year ago and we opted for the self catering cottage. All appliances were working perfectly, the setting and decor was amazing not to mention the quietness that comes with it. The dinner we had on the veranda is one of the best I've had and then waking... More

Mbuyuni is the perfect solution for anyone working temporarily in Morogoro for several days, weeks, or months. A blissful alternative to any in-town hotels, the scenery is stunning, service impeccable, and hospitality and privacy top-notch. The ride into Morogoro is an easy 20 minutes, and the bridge is passable by sedan - no 4WD needed. Not challenging to find competent... More

We stayed at Mbuyuni Farm Retreat with friends last week-end, we had a very good time, the accommodation are really nice, very clean. We chose the self catering option this time but we heard that the food is really good, so for next time we will try it as well. Nice walks can be done on the property, the pool... More

I visited this place with my friends nad I can really recomend it as it is at very nice quiet place with great view of Uluguru Mountains. We choose self cataring but you can also get full board there. We enjoyed short walks around and pool which was just around our house. Place was clean, owners very friendly so 100%... More

We stayed at Mbuyuni while hiking the Uluguru mountains. It is an easy drive from Morogoro. The accommodations are lovely with attention to detail. The veranda with a spectacular view of the mountains is so relaxing. The staff will do pack lunches for your hike. The meals were delicious and the service excellent. It really is top notch.

We stayed at the Mbuyuni Farm Retreat in Sept 2013. It was quite out of the way so we were glad that we had arranged a taxi directly with Simone (the owner). The location is stunning; right at the foot of the mountains. There are no nearby shops though but we went full board and so the fact we didn't... More

My husband and I run a little place of our own and can't help giving anywhere we stay a thorough checking out. We couldn't fault Mbuyuni Farm Retreat! We visited with my parents and booked for two nights in a self catering cottage... and then ended up staying for three nights as it was so brilliant, and even then we... More

After living in Tanzania a year we finally stopped here as we drove to Dar. Though this was our first stop it will not be our last. If I could find some grand parents for our children I would love to spend a weekend here with my wife. Though the family room we had actually had separate sleeping area for... More
