Tiskita is a very comfortable, original lode based on a large forest reserve including large tracts of primary forest and other habitats that add up to amazingbiodiversity . Peter and Lispeth, are Costa Ricans devoted to the conservation of nature in this spectacular region of southwest Costa Rica, on the Golfo Dulce. Their family run operation features the best hospitality...

Peter and Lizbeth and their family have created a remarkable biological reserve! We were impressed with how they have worked to reforest lands, plant orchards, build the lodge and cabins, and create an extensive trail-system across the reserve. Their conservation ethic is commendable and appreciated. We were awed by the beauty of Tiskita and amazed by the fantastic birds and...

We highly recommend Tiskita Lodge. If you just love being immersed in unspoilt, beautiful nature, far form the madding crowd, it is the perfect balance of forest, sea, animals and birds. Each cabin is set in the jungle overlooking the sea, and one is surrounded by the sound of crashing waves on one side, and chattering monkeys and birds on...

Think of the best time you ever had at a family cottage - that's Tiskita. A warm, friendly welcome and exceptional care for their guests throughout the entire stay (including arranging for the delivery of a much-needed prescription from a pharmacy several hours away). Dining is family style, with Peter, Lisbeth, Clyde and visiting family members joining in. Three delicious...

Like some of your other reviewers, I embarked on this leg of our Costa Rica "adventure" with some trepidation, as we had been advised in advance that the accommodation was "somewhat basic", and I was not sure whether it would suit all the members of our 2-couple party, who are more familiar with somewhat up-market holiday hotels. However, I need...

First off, let me say, that when my wife told me she wanted to go to Costa Rica and spend a week at a resort in a rain forest near Panama (Tiskita Lodge), I was none too pleased. The prospect of spending 6 days in a hot humid climate without the benefit of air conditioning, satellite tv, and constant access...

I have been to 15 different lodges in Costa Rica in the past 3 years and prefer places that are remote and not too crowded and a wide variety of birds and animals to see and photograph. I was at the Tiskita Jungle Lodge for 7 days this January 2015 for the first time and it way exceeded my expectations....

Traveled in late Feb. and early March to Tiskita. Had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the great birding and wildlife. Peter and Elizabeth really have put together a wonderful lodge. Highly recommend it for relaxation and the birding. The Yoga teacher Beth was excellent and gave a wonderful massage.

Ever since I visited Tiskita in 1999 I vowed to return and finally in January, 2015. This remote, cozy rustic lodge is nestled on a forested hillside overlooking the tropical Pacific. This is a perfect place to go if you want to see birds, monkeys, and other animals like sloths, coatis and agoutis. The cabins are spread comfortably around the...

We visited this lodge on the advice of a Costa Rica specialty travel agent. It was so cool, albeit rustic. The showers were open air and the rooms were on stilts with outdoor access. Another couple had a tarantula in their room. We saw snakes, spiders, monkeys, butterflies everywhere. The food was basic but very enjoyable. Smoothies and cocktails from...
