We stayed in one of the rooms outside of the main building which has seen better days. The entire hotel is way past its best. The rooms are overpriced however all in this little town seem to be high for hat they are. After one night we vowed we wouldn't stay here again but needed up after completing the loop by motorbike. As long as you don't touch anything, you'll be fine. We had our own sleep sheets so didn't have to get into the bed! Would I recommend? Well the choice in the town is poor, the room was marginally better than that at the Mekong hotel. The bar was very noisy - with no one in it. The staff indifferent.

If your budget is like ours and rarely surpasses 100.000 kip for a double room per night, this is probably one of the best hotels you will stay in Laos. Unfortunately we spent here just one night, on our way back from the loop in the central part of the country. The hotel is full of history, as it used to be a colonial police station; if this is not enough for you to choose it, consider that the room was the biggest one we have stayed in the country, with air conditioned, a comfortable bed, large bathroom and even a television. Wifi works only in the lobby, the staff is very kind and the location, facing Thailand and the Mekong, is central and superbe.

We spent 2 nights there but i would not especially recommend this place. There are 2 types of rooms, 100 000 kips and 150 000 kips. We chose the first one. The room was quite big, furnished with different styles of furniture. The bathroom was dirty and mouldy, it also smelt bad. I even saw some worms which looked like leeches. The staff speaks very little english but was quie ok.
