The night we spend was alright, not expensive when booked on agoda or booking. Everything is clean, and really fine! We rented our motorbike at Pokemon go, just at the entrance of the hotel, and it was great, bikes were clean and new, we had no problem with our N°16 semi auto :)

Well-known for those who want to do the Thakhek Loop, this hostel is globally good (good quality-price ratio, comfortable beds, relatively clean showers and toilets) but the location is terrible. You are at 30-40 minutes from the city center where you’ll find most of the restaurants and motorbike rental shops. There is indeed a rental shop just in front of the hostel but the motorbikes are rather in bad conditions, so I don’t recommend you to rent there. Furthermore, they ask you to pay if you want to leave you baggage at the hostel during the loop. Not that much but still...

I've stayed for four days in the hostel because I had a moterbike accident. The employees were amazing and very caring and helped me trough these days. They brought food to my room, helped me walk, went to the supermarket for me etcetera. I couldnt leave the hostel so I've tried alot of food on the menu and you get good portions for a low price. But mostly, the hostel is a great place to chill with a beer next to a campfire. And sometimes the employees play gitar. The private room is comfortable and clean. Thank you, I couldnt do it without your help and I wish you all the best :)

We rented our bikes at a place called PokemonGo, recommended by the Travel Lodge. On the first day of the loop the first bike just stopped working. We had to wait for 2 hours before someone came to fix it. We weren't that lucky on the 2nd day. The second bike broke down and when we called the company we 'had to fix it ourselves'. The locals who were trying to help us told us that the bike was 'a bad bike' and even the mechanics in the little village couldn't fix it. We had to leave our bike. After the whole loop, and one more breakdown, we returned with only 2,5 bike (the 3/5 bike was still working, but couldn't go faster than 50km/h anymore). We spend more time waiting on the bikes to get fixed, than actually driving them. This kinda ruined our trip as we couldn't get to see all the highlights because of the limited time (it gets dark pretty soon and you don't want to drive or go sightseeing in the dark). Ironically the company wouldn't refund anything in the first place. After 30 minutes we finally got some of our money back. Please do not rent your bike here!

Travel lodge is back again. They are improving a lot of things. The organic vegetable garden is very nice. The bathroom are very clean(They've just fixed). The food is cheap and big plate. The staff are ok. Some of them have poor english but very helpful. Basic double room, old bed but still comfotable, huge bathroom.

The bikes from PokemonGo are, to be honest, in terrible condition. Both me and a friend had multiple problems with our motorbikes. From the engine not working to parts falling off the motorbike. This of course, could be bad luck, although the motorbikes were in such a bad condition, we wouldn't think it was. The Condition of the motorbikes weren't exactly the worst problem. The owners were even worse. They just didn't want to hear that the motorbikes were in bad condition and didn't do anything to help us. They even let us pay for the costs.

stayed 1 night in an 8 bed dorm: dirty showers and toilets, unpolite staff, good for a night if you start the loop you can deposit your backpack for 5k dont book sleeperbus, they dont get ticets for it and don't tell you - luckily caught the last local bus at midnight, otherwise would have lost a day! everyone there seemed unwilling to work and clean

The dorm has a serious bed bug infestation, and nothing is being done about it. A guy in one of the beds got eaten alive by them, and then we checked all the other beds that were open and they had bugs or evidence of them. When we told reception his only response was to give us our money back and tell us we can go somewhere else. They don't seem to care at all and are complacent in the fact they're a popular hub for starting the loop. Highly recommend checking somewhere else out.

We stayed one night here before doing the thakhek motor loop, arrived in the middle of night luckily we booked in advance as it was booked out. Reception was there to greet us.bed was decent shower hot and in the room. Reception rented us one bike( brand new bike great condition) and provided useful information on the travel loop like how to avoid the cop stops as we didn’t have drivers license. Rented our other bike from the place next door wasn’t a great bike but worked.

Was here to relax a bit and do the loop with a good friend... Whatever u do, just don't rent ur scooter here, go to madmonkey near the peer! The women is a little nasty lying witch, and I will explain u why. We were not sure If we gonna do the loop in 3 or 4 days, so we payed for 4. Furthermore she said we will get the money for the day back if we make the loop in 3 days, so we made it in 3 days total and when we arrived she told us it's not possible to get the money back. Also the bikes were in horrible condition, my back break stopped working at half of the loop... Never again!!!
