We stayed one night and then left asap! Don't be fooled by the nice photos of the hotel if you're booking a basic room - these are in an old building at the back. When we arrived the sheets hadn't been changed so we asked if they could change them. Reception almost refused but eventually dumped a new set of...

During our month in Laos we soon discovered that by paying the same amount (around 100.000 kip), you get a room that is quite similar across all the country. Total we spent 3 nights at Phonepadidh at 100,000 per night. The rooms were clean enough for us (backpackers) and the wifi and the air conditioning worked so we were content. Minimal English spoken but they were able to book an early morning tuk tuk for us. Would return.

This place may or may not be adding a new building to its complex, so it was under construction when we were there. There's not much English here but we managed to arrange for a tuk tuk very early in the morning to the bus station. They also have 100,000 kip rooms which just have king beds instead of doubles,...
