The facade did not complement the room/s. That being said, describes the quality of room they have. Stinky toilets, smelly rooms, itchy beds & linens. The location as well as the view though is great, just a walk to the pier for the fast craft to Cebu. A nice hotel to stay in during a short lay over from the...

The economy room at 950 pesos is a good price for me. But once you see the room, it us really in a bad shape. There is no WiFi in economy room, the cabinet is dilapidated, the air con is noisy, the sink is leaking. I saw unsafe electrical wirings. It was placed inside the cabinet. Really? The cable TV...

Checked in last February 16 to 18, 2015. 1. Beautiful exteriors but once you get inside you'll notice that it is still under renovation. 2. No elevator that time so I took the stairs all the way up the fifth floor 3. Mattresses were all piled up outside the room. It is like an abandoned building. 4. Bathroom was just...

There it is,only a 3 minute walk from the pier as you arrive in Ormoc from other locations around the Philippines. There are cheap rooms for under 1000 pesos per night, but I prefer the nice ones facing the sea with a balcony for 1600 for one occupant and 1850 for two. Breakfast is not included with the room. However...

So firstly let me clarify my rating. It is very good at the price. If it was more money the rating would drop dramatically. It cost $20 a night and for that you get a clean room, free wi-fi in the Lobby, pleasant staff and a reasonable nights sleep in your own room. Aircon worked and worked well :) The...

This place was probably rather grand when it first opened. I stayed in a budget room, which was nothing special, so I can't say how good the rooms with ocean views are. There's no wifi in the rooms, but it's available in the lobby and coffee shop, which are both pleasant enough to relax in. Everything you need is close...

Coffee shop needs to be renovated. Considering its location, very accessible to the port (though land transport terminal could not be too close to the hotel) it can be a best place to stay for travelers to & from Cebu. I had a cheese burger in a few minutes & hope its shelf life was safe since it looked like...

Don Felipe is situated right next to the bus/jeepney terminal, across a park where there are many shows in the evening, and close to the market. it is also very close to the Ferry Terminal. Location-wise, this is very good. The hotel itself really is old, and might need some renovation. Though, for backpackers standards, it is very good! Jeepneys/multicab...

It is now 1 year since the big typhoon ripped through the Philippines, & this was my second trip to Ormoc,Leyte in the past 12 months. Once again I stayed at Don Felipe Hotel. It is all nice & clean after the typhoon & things seem to be on track for them again EXCEPT for the lift. When I was...
