This is a nice hotel for people who needs reliable wifi when travelling like me. Other from that, it is located at the heart of the city which you can walk around if you like to look for food, groceries and coffeeshops. The only thing I did not like is the small room and old room style but overall it... More

I stayed here for three nights. The hotel offers free breakfast. The room is good enough. BUT, Wifi connection is very very very poor. From the 7th floor where my room is located, you need to go down to the reception in the ground floor just to browse the internet.

My wife, little daughter and I spent three days at the Canelsa Hotel in Tacloban City, RP, to attend the Gen. MacArthur annual memorial. It was a pleasant stay, clean room, quick elevator, centrally located, easy walk to stores, McDonald's, the harbor, etc.

I had no choice but to stay in Hotel Canelsa. It was raining really hard and it was late at night. I wasn't able to go home since I live far away. I thought this was a good hotel since they're logo\s pretty classy and cute. There were no other rooms with the 800 pesos price. So I had to... More

The hotel is located in Downtown Tacloban. Very near food establishments (McDonald's, Jollibee) and just along Rizal main road which makes commute easy. Staff are nice and accommodating. The place was a little old though. It underwent refurbishing after Typhoon Yolanda but the total atmosphere is still a little dark and old.

ROOM - Hotel Canelsa has a bed, small cabled TV, towels and a table and chair. That's just about it. It is just clean white sheets that make you feel a little bit itchy on your skin. Also they only give you ONE pillow to get an extra one its P10 a night. ELEVATOR - There is just one slow... More

You could find a better place to stay for the same price and you'd probably get in-room wifi there, too. Rooms were clean, not too big but okay, and had fresh towels and hot showers. The staff was so-so. Also, not a very peaceful place to stay, because you can easily hear people talking down the hall from our room,... More

...and not much else. Overall, the hotel and the rooms are fairly spartan, and old. Yes, the hotel is right smack in the downtown area, in the commercial district, so you're not far from banks, department stores and the ubiquitous Jollibee & McDonald's branches. The elevator is quite cramped, and the single rooms are a bit sad. But if you're... More

I have to say that the hotel is good. You get what you expect from a budget hotel. You get the following: 1. Firm and comfortable beddings 2. TV with cable 3. Room service 4. Elevator 5. Nice floor lobby 6. Hot and cold shower 7. Free soap and towel Plus factors are the strong wifi in the room, view... More
