We have been in this region several times before but have always stayed in Neustift. We were traveling to the Dolomites and made this stop on the way to recoup from jet lag. The staff at the hotel is extremely nice and helpful. The setting of the hotel is great and the little town is very quaint. There is a Despar grocery just a couple minutes away and they have a great selection. Dinner at the hotel was first rate and so was the salad bar. Breakfast was wonderful with all the items you could ever want and a very large selection of fresh fruits. We were very glad that we stopped here as was recommended to us.
Hotel Alpenstolz is an excellent choice of hotel if you want to explore Stubaital, go hiking and come back to a nice bed and good food in the evening. Their offer of half-pension, the Stubai card and clean and nice rooms makes it perfect for longer or shorter stay, for couples or families. The breakfast is very good ! Location as well !
An excellent hotel with breakfast and dinner for those willing to drive 30-40 minutes to the Stubai glacier. I should rarher say "truly outstanding". Food is delicious, service attentive. There is a small sauna and steam room, facilities for table tennis, etc. The hotel is conveniently located just 15 minutes from Innsbruck Airport, and Martin - the owner of the hotel happily picks you up from the airport and drives you back. There is nothing negative at this place - it radiates happiness and hospitality. It is not fancy but greatly serves the purpose of having inexpensive stay relatively close to ski lifts.
Very nice hotel with the small garden in the picturesque village. We stayed only one night ,we came in the evening it was a stopover in our journey from Italy. The hotel is quite conveniently situated, more less 12 km from the highway. Our room was clean and spacious with separate sitting area and the balcony, see our added pictures. Dinner is served between 1900-2000,it's a fixed menu it was very good. Buffet breakfast was a varied also very tasty .It's a great place for mountain walking and winter sports . It's a pity no fridge and coffee and tea facilities in the room. Across the street is small supermarket SPAR ,so you can buy wine and food with reasonable prices.
We stayed two nights in the family annex apartment. We had two parents, two children, and one grandparent. There was plenty of space for us. The annex is in a separate building from hotel but just around the corner. It was just as well because the bar next to the reception desk is very smoky and not good if you have children. We did not have any meals at the hotel so we cannot comment there. There was a market just across the street from our apartment so we prepared our own meals in the small but functional kitchenette. The kitchen could have used a couple of supplies: paper towels and a pot scrubber as none were sold in the store across the street. Also some toiletries (soap, shampoo) would have been a nice perk but we had some of our own. The bathroom was very large with a single sink with two faucets and and a walk in shower room with two shower heads (rain shower and hand held). Plenty of towels and extra pillows available if needed. It appears that this annex apartment is treated more as a rental unit rather than a hotel room as there is no daily cleaning service for the room. There is, however, still a cleaning fee you must pay at check out. Parking is free. You are close to the Mieders summer toboggan which is loads of fun! Innsbruck is less than a 15 minute drive away. All in all the apartment is great and comfortable. We would come back again in the future!…
