Bogazkale is a rather small town near the ancient Hittite capital of Hattusia, an archeological gem that is well worth a visit. On a previous trip, we stayed at the Baskent Demiralan Hotel, an unpretentious place we found acceptable, especially when compared to another nearby hotel we had tried. Admittedly, things were pretty minimal – room heating had to be...

We didn't book any hotel in Bogazkale as we didn't know what day we'd be arriving ( long trip around Turkey)- so on the day arriving to Bogazkale afternoon of the 11/10/16- I checked prices on Tripadvisor and went to check in but concierge wouldn't give us the room we wanted for the price advertised which was 23€ ( breakfast...

This was our lunch stop during our visit to the Hattusa ruins. Food portions were generous, service was exceptionally efficient and staff was very friendly and helpful. We were met by the proprietor. While we did not stay in the adjacent hotel [it was too early in the season in any case], we found the exterior appealing and would consider...

It is an amazing deal for the price! It is clean, quiet and conveniently located. I stayed three nights and ate breakfast and dinner there. The food was great and the service even better! One evening I swam in the pool (clean and refreshing) after a long day of hiking around Hattushas. The next evening, after doing the museum in...

This is a very comfortable hotel with clean, large rooms in a modern building. Good wifi. Reasonable price with a nice breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is very close to Hattusa with lovely views.

On our second visit to Hattusha, I was a bit hesitant of any hotel, as our experiences with other places was not the greatest. However, the Hotel Baskent was terrific! Very little English spoken throughout, but we managed to communicate effectively nonetheless. We were greeted warmly and shown to our room. From what I could tell, all the rooms basically...

I am reviewing the campsite Belonging to the hotel. Situated behind the hotel. Large paved road and gravel standing area for approximately 40 units when full. Most of them with electric hookup. Good views from site to Bogatzkale below and Hattusa site. Large newly built shower block which is clean. Very hot water and good water pressure. No toilet paper....

The hotel seems to be in the middle of building a new block, which is probably not before time. The rooms are basic. However we were awoken in the middle of the night by a foul and over powering stench emanating from the drains. We've travelled extensively all over the world and its the first time that and smell has...
