First things first - there is a dog. It lives there with the owners of the guest house. The place has dog hair all over. It has that slight smell of musky dog, which most dog owners can't smell; but it's there. I'm allergic to dogs. I booked through Expedia and nowhere did it say there was a dog. I...

Fantastic place, a really warm welcome and a delightful room. It was quiet, peaceful and clean. Makes a really pleasant change from the hotel chains and I shall definitely be staying again. Easy to find, short and pleasant 20 min walk into Coalville where there are ample restaurants. Delicious breakfast.

I travel a lot for business and pleasure and I have never had an experience like the one I had at Ravenstone Guest House. I arrived at 4:30pm on the day of check-in after my administration staff informing them that I would be arriving at this time through booking on Hotels.com. Upon arrival I noticed that the car park was...

We stayed at the Ravenstone during a trip to Donnington park which is mere 15 mins ride away. The setting is idyllic with onsite parking. Ann the proprietor welcomed us warmly and was very helpful with information on the local area and it's amenities. The ensuite bedrooms offered Tea/Coffee making facilities and the beds supremely comfortable. A Fantastic breakfast was...

Stayed a couple of years ago. A very warm welcome but felt the owners were struggling to keep it up. Fabiric on bedroom walls released clouds of dust; water pressure was so bad it was impossible to shower or bathe. At breakfast the jars of jam etc were covered in mould; fruit in bowl was stuck to the napkin with...

If you want a five star soul less place to stay do not stay here. This is a lovely quaint guest house with the most delightful owners. The breakfast was fantastic, freshly cooked locally sourced produce served at a time to suit you.

Stayed just the one night but wished it had been more. The lovely mine hosts were most welcoming and the breakfast was just superb with a fantastic variety of fare available. A quiet room, (garden view) will make me visit again. Mrs. Thorne recommended the IMGE Turkish & Mediteranean restaurant in Coalville High Street - brilliant food at an unbelievable...

As you pull out to this very old house (c1750) and drive under the archway, through the gate and into the wonderful driveway and view the gardens you know your are in for a treat. As your host (Ann) meets you at the door you know you will be in for a very warm and welcoming stay. Entering the house...

Ravenstone is a guest house B+B with 3 bedrooms. They do what they say, it's a house and you're a welcome guest. I stayed overnight on a business trip and mainly took advantage of a very well priced deal on Expedia. I stayed in the 'Garden Room' which overlooks the back garden and it had a big double bed, tea-making...

Lovely rooms, As long as you accept that this is a 17th century farmhouse. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights as it was so quiet, you felt like you were miles away from anywhere. Ideal for us needing to get to Donington Park only a short car journey away. Nothing was too much trouble, offering a wide variety of options...
