Set between a pristine ocean beach and a peaceful lake this park is like a natural bush land garden. The cabin was clean, warm (I was there in the late autumn) and well equipped. The park had kayaks for hire and I spent a blissful afternoon paddling and birdwatching. The ocean beach is magnificent and a couple of minutes walk...

The cabins were clean and a great space for a family for 4. I have two young children and at first i was concerned about the bunk beds but my 5yr was so excited to be sleeping on the top bunk. The park was clean and tidy throughout. The park is in walking distance to the lovely and family friendly...

The words 'beautiful location' simply can't describe just how beautiful the location actually is. Simply stunning - everything anyone could want: pristine bush, abundant (friendly) wildlife, huge clean lake to kayak on, fish in, swim in or ... just loll beside. Huge clean beach and ocean to swim in, surf on or... just loll beside. And all a stroll from...

If you want somewhere to totally chillax this is the place. If you love 5 star luxury with all the associated services then this is not the place for you. Pristine, unspoilt, unpopulated beach is just 2 mins walk, the lake is now open and so the water is crystal clear. That too is 2 mins walk away. With the...

Hi Sally-anne it looks like you've discovered our treasure! While we may not be 5 Star luxury resort (thankfully!) our Seaside Cabins provide 4.5 Star comfort and features to our guests, and its only a short drive for restaurants, attractions etc. We have many international tourists stop with us throughout the year and the wildlife which we sometimes take for...

Positives - peaceful, lake plus ocean, native animals and birds, doesn't feel crowded, despite the large number of people over summer. Downsides - available firewood is too big to be practical for the bbq. Better to byo. It would be nice if there was a patrolled ocean beach nearby.

Lakesea123, Manager at Lakesea Park, responded to this review

Thanks for your great wrap of our park Muscadoo! While it does get very busy in Summer you can always find your own little patch of paradise around here. Unfortunately the only patrolled beaches on the South Coast are at the major town centres with the larger populations so that means a drive may be in order to get to...

We have stayed in the lakeside cabins many times and always try to go out of peak times, the park is always very clean and has an abundance of wildlife which adds to the serenity. Staff are helpful, you can hire bikes, kayaks and other stuff if you like.

Gorgeous location right on the Durras Beach. Beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife, particularly the kangaroos and birds. The elevated cabins have two big rooms, one with an ensuite and a third room with bunks and a single bed. Great for families. The kitchen is spacious and well appointed. The only drawback is the utensils, and frying pan etc are a...

You have the beach one side and the lake on the other side, fishing and surfing within a stone's throw. Plenty of great walks to...

Great cabins in a beautiful location with plenty of wildlife and access to the lake or beach with kayak available for hire on the lake. Fireplaces in front of each cabin was a nice surprise as was the plentiful hot water for a warm bath.
