This hotel is in a quiet location and staff are very welcoming and helpful. The food was of a good quality. However, it is long overdue for an upgrade and there is a neglect of details such as dead plants in the patio, curtains lacking in curtain hooks, sofas had lost their springs. In the bar was a large screen...

The best thing about this hotel is their customer service. The owner and reception staff were all friendly and we couldn't fault them. The only thing to note was when we ate in the bar in the evening and the service was very slow however they had a large group in on the restaurant side and did warn us in...

A great B&B. Our room was huge and the beds very comfortable. We had a full bath and lots of quiet. There was a very nice restaurant so we could have dinner upon arrival, as well as a good breakfast the next day. The kids loved the guinea pigs out front. We enjoyed this place a lot.

We popped in for dinner on Saturday Evening. The place was very quiet to start with but soon got busier as the evening went on. The staff were all very polite and cheery. I had Haggis and Mozzarella balls to start and they were amazing, my husband had prawn cocktail and thoroughly enjoyed it. The main courses were also amazing....

My wife and I were fortunate enough to find this place on Sunday and stopped for lunch. We both had spare ribs for starters and steak pie for mains and believe me we couldn't have found room for dessert. We were expecting a small plate of mini ribs and were presented with a portion of huge ribs which tempted us...

Three night stay while salmon fishing the Annan some 20mins away. Friendly and accommodating, rooms very clean and tidy. Excellent choice of food in restaurant. Draft real ale an added bonus. Really good value for money.

We visit regularly, but not as much as we would like to. Brilliant location, Fantastic food & great service. Love it. You must go through the whole menu, as everything is so good. Try the local ale with your meal. A very warm reception is given when you arrive & you enjoy a nice warm family feeling all the time...

After the disappointment of a nearby hotel having no record of our reservation, Ken saved us from sleeping in our car and put us in the family room tower room. It was huge and our fifteen-year-old loved sleeping in the canopy bed. Dinner took some time to be served but we enjoyed watching the rabbits and guinea pigs while we...

We visit here quite regularly for a meal, food quality is very good, service is good with staff being very helpful. Food and drink are reasonably priced and the food menu has a great choice. They do special deal through the week, and also on steak night, all in all a good place to visit for a meal.

I have never written a poor review but felt the need to share this. Arrived with 6 friends - shown to a table and given two menus. When asking for more was told that they were busy and didn't have any spare - there were only 8 people in the dining room. Starters were lovely. Waited almost an hour on...
