The hotel is beautifully situated in almost two acres of grounds overlooking miles of glorious coastline, with Trevose Head to the left and the famous Round Hole of Trevone to the right. The Well Parc, although not crowded by any near neighbours is less than five minutes walk from the beaches and coastal path. Trevone hosts two beautiful beaches - one sandy, with full lifeguard coverage during the summer months which is perfect for surfing, sand castles and lazy sunny picnics. The other beach is aptly named Rocky Beach and is a haven of rockpools teaming with interesting discoveries, it also has a natural swimming pool within the rocks of the beach.

Lovely friendly staff who were accommodating & helpful, especially the person running the bar. It’s a good honest little place & the food was tasty too, esp the curry. Plenty of space indoors & out and lovely coastal views. Easy to reach within Trevone.

We went for drinks - it is in a lovely place with a great patio and lawns and sea view - its only when you go inside it leaves a lot to be desired. Old, dated, weird curtains up at the window shieldign the view. Still the drinks on the patio were great - we had a pizza which was great - but the rest of the menu was limited service was what really lets this place down - if they can improve on the service and menu - this could be a fabulous place

This was like Cornwall 40 years ago - and not in a good way. The room had no heater or option for heating - a towel rail in the bathroom (and the noise from the shower would wake people anywhere in the hotel). There was nothing on any walls bar a basic mirror, huge paint chips, no basic toiletries and no breakfast included at a rate of £110. Yes, the woman running this shoddy operation calls you 'lovely' but that is no substitute for the contempt in which this business seems to hold its guests. There has been no investment in this business for years and it is the kind of thing that gives the rest of us in Cornwall a bad name. A beautiful view does not compensate for such a poor experience - there are so many other lovely places around.

We arrived at 3:45 on Monday 28 March for a one night stay. We were confronted (not greeted) by a lady (Sally) who said “we don’t open till 4:30” I replied that the website said 4 o’clock and that we had reserved a room.Upon entering the reception we were asked to fill in a form whilst Sally returned to a game of cards with her friends. The room itself was spacious, the bed comfortable and large and the linen and towels good as was the shower. However, the room smelt of damp, there was no heating ,there was a dead fly on the window sill and it looked as if the room was last decorated about 20 years ago.The view of the sea was spectacular. We ate in.Unless you like pizza the menu was limited with a choice of about 6 mains. We were the only ones eating but the service was slow. The food when it came was quite good.4 people came in for a drink and that was all. When we departed we left the key in reception and said goodbye and thanks to the owners who were sitting at the other end. Before we got to the car Sally appeared and said”there is a bill to settle”. I enquired what she was talking about and it was the cost of the accommodation which had in fact left my account some three weeks previously. She said she would check with Jodie as sometimes the payment only shows as “advisory”.She then said Jodie had confirmed payment. No apology. This place has the potential to be really good and it is a shame that the current owners don’t seem to care.It is not a good look to have clutter in the passageways and vacuum cleaners on show and not put away. The room cost £110 and for that price one would expect some toiletries in the bathroom and for breakfast to be included. We did notice the tariff in reception showed £44 per person per night.but even that would be too much for what is on offer here.We feel ripped off. I have never written a review before but felt my views should be aired

We stopped here as a family to grab some food and a drink. The Well Parc is situated overlooking the beautiful beach at Trevone. The pub itself is not a “looker” at all but the welcome we received on entering was lovely. Really friendly bar staff and our dog was welcomed too. We ordered Pizzas which were all on home made bases with fresh toppings. We have been back a couple of times since and the welcome has always been good and genuine with the food being good simple pub grub. A great place to drop by for a drink and a bite. It could do with updating internally, externally and could be so much more for sure though we will return for a drink and another Pizza! Thank you for being so welcoming.

We were warned by others in Trevone that this place was unwelcoming and to steer well clear. In spite of this, we decided to try it out. It was empty all evening (which should have been another red flag). The food and friendly barmaid we’re the only positives. It is tired, dated and cold inside. There were 13 of us, buying food and drinks all evening. The owner was stood propping up the bar all evening and eve’s dropping our conversations. He put his hands on one of the young men’s shoulders and said he wanted him out - absolutely no reason other than him taking a dislike to him and said to a lovely young lady in our party that he didn’t like her language - which is absolute rubbish. There was not one other customer in the pub other than our party, who are all friendly, well mannered individuals and I think the owner must enjoy asserting his authority. The poor embarrassed barmaid had to march the owner out of the bar in a manner that suggested this is the norm at a certain point in the evening. Basically, he owns some prime real estate in Trevone, so guessing he doesn’t feel the need to excel in customer service in any way. Shame as Trevone is so lovely. Go to Bruno’s Bar next to the beach instead.

We arrived a little earlier than check in stated and was greeted by a lady who wasn’t really impressed by this. (We travelled 4 hours and luckily missed traffic so was a little earlier than planned) we had two rooms (1,5) our friend said his room was ok. Ours had a double bed and two singles in there. Great view from the window. Beds comfortable. There was the usual tea and coffee in the room. The bathroom was like stepping into a time warp. The floor had rusty marks over it from the chair in there. The net curtains were mouldy. The bath and shower were grubby looking although I think that’s just because it was so old and tired. There was a single mattress up against the wall outside our room. The upstairs had a musty smell to it. This put me off eating here. We did have a few drinks downstairs in the bar and the lady behind the bar was pleasant. Upon checkout they did try to charge our friend for a drink put on the tab. He didn’t have a tab. We had been out that night so not sure why that happened. He didn’t pay for it. This place has so much potential if it was given a revamp. The garden area is a perfect place to watch the sunset

Giving this place a 5 star rating for 3 reasons 1. We were greeted well & enjoyed a conversation with a member of staff who was incredibly friendly 2. We only popped in for a beer, and the beer was crisp cold. We enjoyed sitting in the well kept gardens drinking our beer 3. Potential… this place would of no doubt been a popular sell out holiday destination decades ago as it has a hotel & restaurant in a perfect location. But sadly, via conversation with staff, it’s still not modernised to suit current expectations. For example, the grounds offer camping pitches, and what a stunning place this would be to camp. But, they have no toilet or shower facilities for campers, can you imagine camping without flushable toilets & showers in 2021! I asked where the nearest shower would be, the staff didn’t have any idea. The staff also confirmed that they encourage people with tents to bring there own toilets, WOW! Now we are definitely going back to the 70’s. There is a junk yard area out the back with old caravans etc, we were told this is the staff sleeping accommodation, we kind of did not believe that to be true, so we laughed that off. The caravans looked like something from a horror movie, so we realised it wasn’t possible for anyone to expect staff to sleep there, perhaps a silly joke from the person who told us The hotel is now apparently run by the owner’s children who live on site, we didn’t get a chance to chat with them, but if they read this, please note; you have such a fantastic opportunity to promote this place, simple things like no showers or toilets for campers is completely unacceptable. Stunning location, well kept gardens, perfect for marquee type weddings, keep all options open and we look forward to popping in for another crisp cold beer next time we are in the area

This hotel was just amazing loved everything about it . It was friendly clean and the room was brilliant with an amazing view. Can’t wait to go back. Nothing was to much trouble breakfast and evening meals were delicious. Bar was cosy and friendly in the evening and the view from the garden was breathtaking. This hotel was truly a little gem in a beautiful location. Wish I had booked for longer. Loved the family run atmosphere and relaxed feeling this hotel brought.

Lovely location, short walk in to Padstow. Compared to prices in Padstow this place is cheap but overall we didn’t feel welcome by the majority of staff who work there. I note some comments about the rooms from other people, our room itself was okay. Basic, dated but generally clean and bed was comfy. It was more the vibe for us. When we arrived no one seemed to know what they were doing, we asked if there was a table for food and we initially we were told no (despite the place being empty) so it just seemed like they couldn’t be bothered. Not a great start. They asked if we wanted to book in breakfast which we said yes, we can down in the morning and one staff member was sat reading a book. We said we had pre-booked and again we got an unwelcome look, she then left to start the breakfast. It was only us for breakfast, rubbish atmosphere sat in a cold dingy room whilst the family who owned it sat in the next room enjoying breakfast again making out like we were an inconvenience to be there. Also I ordered a veggie breakfast and didn’t get a veggie sausage and they charged near £8 for an egg and some mushrooms. We went to Padstow on the last night and came back around 10pm. We sat and had a drink in the bar, only people in the bar. We had a packet of crisps in our bags from earlier so we opened them and again another rude staff member abruptly told us we couldn’t eat something we didn’t buy there. I wouldn’t have minded if she’d have asked nicely but it was again extremely rude to the point we went upstairs. Also, I think given we had tea, breakfast and drinks there, I’m sure they could let us have a single packet of crisps. We basically felt confined to our room due to feeling like a huge inconvenience whenever we asked something. If you are literally just going to go stay there to get your head down and not use any communal facilities then it’s probably alright (still not worth the money). But I’d generally avoid and won’t stay again.
