Not an easy place to get to....several miles on unpaved tracks. ...but we'll worth the effort. Set in the jungle in a gorge next to the river the cabins all have easy access and views of the river. The lodge offers night walks to see...More

I don't even know where to start with this review. I'm afraid I'll try to detail every single day of our stay and end up with a short novel. What can I say that hasn't been said? Amazing views, a private cabana in the jungle,...More

We planned our honeymoon around wanting to get a jungle experience and a beachy experience. We got both by staying the first half of our trip here at Black Rock Lodge, and the second half at Tranquility Bay Resort (Ambergris Caye). We can't say enough...More

Xunantunich is a Mayan ruin that is quite close. You can get there by car or on horseback. I didn't do caving but I don't think it's very terrifying if you're claustrophobic. Can't make any weather predictions - sorry
