Simply put, stay here. Our family of 5 stayed at BLR a few weeks ago. We spent a week nestled in the jungle on the Mecal River and felt completely at home. The staff at Black Rock became an extended family and when we left, we all felt so sad. The magic of Black Rock is something we will never...

As our visit was in February I'm sorry that I have left it so long to write this review. I would reccomend Black Rock Lodge to any nature lover who is thinking of visiting Belize. The guides were all so knowledeable and helpful it was a real joy to learn from them. On a visit to see the Mayan ruins...

I traveled here with my girlfriend on a romantic and fun trip. In our mid-twenties, Black Rock Lodge offered the ideal mix of adventure and quiet time. We enjoyed our private cabin, lovely hammocks and wildlife, and the exquisite 4-course meals we were able to share with the other people staying at the lodge. We adored the family-style sit-downs with...

The accommodation is a very good standard and spacious. It is made up of individual lodges. Open plan bedroom and living area with a large bathroom / toilet. We had one away from the centre and down toward the river. It had a surrounding deck area with two hammocks and a table and chairs. Meals are in the common area....

I can't recommend this lodge more highly. The lodge is well off the beaten track just outside San Ignacio. The setting is just superb, the cabins are all nestled in the jungle, with some overlooking the river. Meals are eaten in the open air (covered) restaurant overlooking the river and with a great view of the surrounding hills and jungle....

We stayed at the Black Rock Lodge for 4 nights in a River View Cabin. We could not have been more happy and impressed with what the Lodge has to offer. It takes a while to get to from Belize City but patience pays off. Upon arriving we were treated to spectacular views of the river we would tube down,...

I can't recommend this lodge more highly. The lodge is well off the beaten track just outside San Ignacio (roughly 45 mins, as there is a fairly rough road to negotiate for approx 7 miles once u leave the main highway). At the time we travelled, just after 'Hurricane Earl', the roads had literally just reopened and there was obviously...

We had originally planned to stay at Black Rock Lodge for three nights after staying three nights in Hopkins. Our cabin was one of the newer ones very close to the river and it was very impressive. There were two hammocks on the deck, the cabin was very spacious and clean, and the cabins were quite far from one another,...

We arrived here, a little anxiously, just before a hurricane arrived in Belize. Everything was explained to us and we were shown to our little jungle casita (detached bedroom, hut, lodge, cabin thingy). We had two very comfortable double beds, an en-suite with a shower and a lovely porch area with chairs and hammocks - and of course breathtaking views....

Located and isolated in the middle of the forest, this place is just fantastic. Managed in a full Eco-friendly style, the team is really great and always happy to assist you and propose activity. We did a lot (always related to the nature (hiking, Cayac, etc) and very often with one of their guide (Eduardo) who is just fantastic with...
