Where to start with such a special guest house. . .my partner and i decided to stay here on a whim after we landed at HER airport. It was a 40 minute drive, due south of the city. We lucked out with a spectacular room, as we did not book in advance. Babis is a tremendous host with deep roots...

We had a wonderful time staying with Babis in his beautiful villa in Crete. It's an easy half hour drive from Heraklion, taking you in to the rustic countryside of Crete. The rooms are big, modern and spacious, and we had a beautiful view overlooking the pool and beyond. Babis is a wonderful host - the breakfasts provided in the...

It's one of those places which stay in your memory. We went back again this year and it was as good as ever. The atmosphere is great, tranquile, lovely air, views, fragrances in the air, nice breakfast, great owner and staff.

This was our first stop in Crete & the best of our accommodation. Babis (the host) was a wonderfully gracious host, going above & beyond to make sure we were happy. The place was gorgeous & I LOVED the four poster bed & the view from our room simply could not be captured in photos. The whole are is very...

I'm at a lost for words to express our gratitude to Babis for having made our stay such a memorable one. From his warmly welcome with wine and watermelon when we arrived to our departure, everything was just perfect ! Going to Villa Kerasia is like going to a family house, with a flavor of "old south of France". Babis...

Previous reviews cover the many positives of this beautiful property. The highlights are the view, pool, grounds and extraordinarily helpful and lovely manager, Babis. Just be aware one needs to drive for everything including all meals except breakfast and there are no option at the property to purchase food, tea or coffee etc (no kettle in rooms) so could be worth bringing...

The moment I saw this lovely villa on booking.com and TA I knew that I would have to stay there. It is very near Iraklion and more or less in the same direction as Knossos, so it is possible to spend only the night of one's arrival in Iraklion, and the next day see the museum and then Knossos (about...

This 5 day holiday was too short, but long enough to make want to go back! Crete is a fantastic place, at least what we have seen of it. I know there is a lot more to discover. Babis place, or Villa Kerasia as it's called, is a fabulous place to stay. Everything can be found to have a fantastic...

Villa Kerasia is not on the 'tourist route', although it is fairly close to Heraklion. We stayed for three nights and rented a car to visit nearby villages , although we easily could have stayed by the pool or drinking wine under the pergola all day without leaving the villa. The owner, Babis, is fantastic. His recommendations were spot-on, whether...

A superb place to stay, outside the hustle and bustle yet convenient as a base if one has a car. The carefully, tastefully beautifully restored "barn", complete with the old olive and wine press areas still incorporated is full of character and charm but has all modern ammenities including a lovely pool and garden. It was originally part of the...
