Had a lovey night at the kings arms, friendly staff. And thanks to George for the upgrade. Breakfast was inc, there is a really good breakfast menu. Set in the middle of the high street so great location for all the pubs, shops and restaurants.

I have thought about staying at this hotel before, but have always chosen a different location in Old Amersham, a nearby small town. Why, oh why? I ask myself as this hotel has turned out to be a little gem. One of the nicest hotel stays that I have experienced in a long time and as a regular traveller to...

We went to the Kings Arms yesterday evening and the first impression was good. Enough space between the tables, good size tables, clean surroundings and attentive staff. The first thing I noticed, but did not mention to the staff was at least one price issue, the daily soup in the standard menu is £5 and with regards to what it...

We booked the hotel for our Spanish friends who preferred to stay near to us in Berkhamsted rather than in London and what a good decision that proved to be. They arrived late and walked into room 15 which looked so warm and inviting they couldn't have been more pleased and relieved to be here at last. In the morning...

Came here for lunch on a Saturday and was slightly perturbed to see so many small children/babies/buggies - often a sign that the food isn't that great. Think again! Was lucky to be sat away from the littlies and have to say the food was excellent. The baked Camembert for sharing came with a generous helping of chutney and really...

Hey Mandapol Thanks for the review. We're delighted to hear you weren't put off by the buggies and kiddies - we welcome everyone with open arms and love our little guests just as much as the rest. A lovely escape from the falling snow. Roaring fires as you go in the door. We went straight through to the restaurant area which was already busy at 1200 on a Saturday. Friendly, attentive service and a good menu. I had the panzanella salad with added chicken and my husband had the burger- both excellent. Not the cheapest but felt...

Service was a bit strained but it was January 2nd so that can be excused, the lady who did serve us was quite excellent and tried very hard to please. Always enjoyed previous visits to the Kings Arms - nicely decorated, warm atmosphere, good food and drink, and the rooms for overnight stay retain the old building charm with all the cleanliness and comfort you could want. Hi renstr2017 Thank you for your feedback - we're delighted you chose to dine with us on Christmas Day. The pricing of the meal is down to our specialty and locally sourced, fresh produce - and the preparation of it, shown by the pre-order aspect of the meal. We're sorry it all felt a little military, but as we're sure...
