When booking somewhere to stay, we are always looking for somewhere as quiet as where we live. After much research, this property felt like a good choice. The setting is as rural as expected, but if you want to walk to the local to have dinner and a few drinks, then this property isn't for you. On arrival, we wasn't... More

Stayed in the B&B for 2 nights. Yes you need a car but the peace & quite is unbelievable. Only noise is a cockeral crowing. The place is spotless, met with freshly baked scons & tea. Breakfast was 2nd to none, choice of 8 cereals, fruit, yogurts, gluten free available & full Irish. No rushing us out the door minute... More

We stayed at Eddie's hostel few times and were never disappointing. Eddie and Mary always try to do best. We stayed with kids. There is a kitchen that you can cook your own meals and spacious dining room with fireplace. Every room is very clean and maintained well. Kids can play around and see the farm animals. Just returned from a wonderful short break. Arrived and was met by Mary who gave us a welcoming tour. We settled in quickly and started exploring the lanes and meeting the animals. Everything was great, room, bathroom, kitchen, facilities. Super place that we look forward to visiting again in the future. We visited without a car and a local taxi... More

Owners very nice. Our room was large with large comfortable bed, and large private bathroom. The kitchen was beautiful as well as the common area. Owner put wood into the open-window wood stove and it was so cozy. Beautiful scenery as we sat outside on picnic table. Enjoyed this place very much!!

This was our favorite B and B we stayed in during our recent trip to Ireland. The setting was lovely, the beds were comfortable, the location was peaceful & breakfast was delicious. Cannot say enough nice things about this B and B. If we are ever in this part of Ireland again, we will definitely stay here.

“The room we use is in the hostel section of Valley lodge but is theb only wheelchair accessible room there is on site. Do whatever shopping you need beforehand as the hostel is remote and no shops within walking distance. You don't need the basics of bread, tea, coffee milk butter though as these are provided.”
