We spent October 25 to november 8 at Club Amigo. This was our 4 stay at this resort so we knew what to expect. It was low season so the staff was relaxed and attentive. Food was good, no lines at the buffet with plenty of the usual choices you see in Cuba. The beach was quiet. The two pools... More

Our first time in Cuba if I am sure,it was in 1985. I know a lot of resorts over there.Five star and less. We already traveled a lot around the World. But we always return to Cuba.As if to a second home. This last time we went from Set.23 to Oct.1,2016.Which coincides on the date of the hurricane. We had arrived... More

We're a adult family of 4 and took a chance on the last minute deal. We were quite disappointed that the resort allowed smoking in the main lobby but later found out the entire property allowed smoking in all restaurants! yech and i enjoy my cigars! The "cheap" rooms we received were horrible (broken bed, joing room door broke, but... More

The hotel is dated but didn't find it dirty just in need of some tlc. The pool near the 24hr snack bar was lovely, never had a problem getting a sun bed. Was very quite all day until around 3 when lots of very loud Spanish speaking families would turn up for a snack. Even when standing next to each... More

The room was dump, not clean. Lot of moskitos. The worst thing there was a lot of noise in the early morning from work just near our room. And if you ask to change it they want more money. The restaurant and the food really bad every day the same thing. No one serve you without taking tips

We have travelled to this resort twice in 2016. This is the first time we have ever returned to the same resort twice. We stayed in the gardenview rooms the first time and in the bungalow section the second time. The gardenview rooms are like old military baracks, very small but centrally located. The bungalows are very spacious with either... More

We went as a group of 6 in February 2016, and we plan to go back again in 2017. We loved the location, great snorkelling, nice resort, friendly staff. We have mostly traveled to Varadero in the past, and we really liked Guardalavaca. The Safari tour is fantastic, you go on the catamaran (similar to Varadero, but with WAY better... More

Great food, wonderful people, amazing beaches. A must see, if you need a reasonably priced vacation...Holguin is the place to go. Along the beach, you will find private bars, yes, you have to pay outside of your all inclusive, but wow...Mojitos are amazing!

Travelled to Club Amigo from October 2 to 9th 2016...second time within one year. Stayed in the Villa section (Room 5108) very clean. Around the corner from the 24 hour bar. Staff were (as usual) excellent. Food good, you won`t go hungry. but typical Cuban. The hotel prepared us for Hurricane Matthew which arrived (relatively mildly) on Tuesday night into... More
