Detailed Reviews
This is the second time I have stayed here for an exhibition. The hotel is not too far from either the airport or the Fira and has good connections via the T3 tram, buses etc. The staff are extremely friendly and professional and the service very good. Standard Novotel rooms but with good WiFi

We stayed at this hotel in October 2018.
The hotel is OK. It's quite far out from the city centre but it's cheap so I suppose it's to be expected. There are various tram and bus stops a short walk away.
The rooms are a little dated and the facilities aren't great. The majority of the staff are friendly and don't mind helping, but some acted as though they didn't really want to be there.
The bar area is nice and there is an outdoor seating area which you can sit on and order drinks. We had a lovely staff member serve us , he was very friendly. The pool area was really nice, but unfortunately it was closed during our stay - it was a bit chilly!
Overall, we didn't pay much for our stay and for what we paid - we were happy.

Great hotel with a pool and breakfast option. Great for kids!! Although a bit far, it is close to bus and tram transit (30-40 min ride into the main downtown). Clean and comfortable and affordable. They have family room options with a Queen and 2 singles - kids were thrilled not to have to share a bed!

Firstly, all staff were very friendly and helpful for any of our needs. They are not to blame for the poor state of the hotel.
For management and the owners, this is definitely not your average 4 star hotel.
Rooms are tired, dirty and the whole site needs an urgent investment in refurbishment or drop it to 2 stars!
The housekeeping manager needs to be addressed on what “room cleanliness” is, as it’s obviously not being addressed by the Hotel manager.
Breakfast has a reasonable variety of items but again for a 4 star hotel providing me with syrup mix for orange juice is unacceptable. Instead of having individual condiments we are all sharing a block of butter, a jar of Nutella, a jug of yogurt.
Just messy and more wastage than providing guests with individual options which can be put away if not used creating less food wastage.
The hotel is a bit far out from the centre but you can catch a tram directly in and it’s relatively cheap too.

The staff at the hotel could not have been more accommodating. We arrived at around 8am, way before the official checking in time. I’d messaged ahead to ask if we could leave out cases somewhere while we explored Barcelona and the replied saying yes. When we arrived the lady on reception saw how tired the children were and got us a family room straight away - Several
Hours before it should have been ready. Amazing. We were able to get a couple of hours sleep before asking for help on how to get to Barcelona. Another lady on reception gave us full instructions on where to get the tram and then the metro and was so helpful. After a full day exploring we arrived back at the hotel late (food served until 11pm) but there were no tables, the bar staff were fantastic and apologetic about the lack of space, they made us room and serve red us food later than normal which was great. The bar staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The only downside, for the money £74 for the one night I would have expected breakfast to be included. We paid about 25E but the children didn’t eat anything. Again, after a scone day of exploring we had a wait for the airport transfer, the bar staff let us charge our phones behind the bar and were so friendly. The hotel is about a 15 min drive from El Prat airport, it cost around 25 euros. It’s ideally located next to a great tram service so if you want to experience Barcelona public transport then it’s ideal, a quick tram ride and then a quick metro ride gets you into the heart of the city. Fantastic service

+1
Check in was quick albeit the reception area looked a bit unremarkable. The rooms are very ordinary and packed the finesse of other Novotel properties stayed in. The room does not have a kettle which is quite odd for a property which considers itself to be a 4 star property. Upon asking at the reception I was told that the rooms are going to be refurbished in February 2020 and hence the kettle have been taken from the rooms. That kind of gives my review away. The rooms are very average at best. The TV is tiny and grainy. Suggest you to avoid this hotel until its gets refurbished. Simple. The hotel shows its age and is past its use by date. Rooms were comfortable enough for the two nights we stayed there. It is very average, but just not up to a standard of how I perceive a Novotel to be. It felt more like an Ibis property at best.

No issues during our stay, with friends y and professional staff, checked in with Miriam after a long 14 hour drive from Lisbon, apart from our initial room was not a wheelchair accessible room with wet room for our first night however she made sure to address this issue next day with her front desk manager Tali who was impeccable by room moving us into one the following day without any issues. Miriam was also very proactive when requesting some electrical extensions due to my husband’s respiratory issues/ cpap machine. In fact they’re all very attentive to their customers, even though I was a work colleague as them. Only one slight not irrelevant issue but it might be a language barrier one is we in UK are used to drink Coca Cola Diet and they keep saying Coca Cola light, which is totally different as Diet hasn’t no sugar and Coca Cola light has. Either way we’ve had a few drinks and meals there which were surprisingly better than in other hotel Novotel we’ve had in the UK to be honest.
A real treat Christian from the bar who’s a very friendly person. When we’ve had moved to our new room the following day a nice housekeeping manager by the name Espe( or Hope as very funny she told us, great caracter!!) we were over the moon with both Tali and Espe as they went without a doubt the extra mile. Ok the hotel lacks some refurbishment but the staff makes you feel extremely welcome and this is what makes people return . A huge thank you for all your assistance and hopefully see you soon, who knows?
Also would like to mention other names for their contributions during our stay sick as Silvia, Josep, Laura, Martina, Vanessa, Alessandro & Paula.

Our family had stayed here before with success so didn't bother looking at the reviews. Big Mistake. Huge!.
My son booked a family room. We booked a double. My son arrived first. They confused the reservations, made him book a second room despite him having prepaid for a double room. We arrived a few hours later, we were told that our prepaid booking had gone to our son. They booked us into another room but made us pay for breakfast again which we had already prepaid. The receptionist would not listen to the explanation and the the hotel's confusion cost us nearly €200 extra for the one night even though we had fully paid in advance. The receptionist at the time and subsequently the manager had no interest as long as we paid the extra cost.

A friend booked this catastrophic hotel for a friends&family outing and footbal
game.
The hotel has not been refurbished for at least 20 years. Definetly not a 4 stars hotel. Tired rooms, poor cleanliness, worst location. They charge 9 euros parking per day as well. The hotel is far away from the centre and attractions, howevere relativu close to the airport if you are driving.
We complained about the room to no avail, they know the product very well, just a raise of the shoulders and “ we will write you an email”…

Staff friendly and bar, restaurant and pool good.Unfortunately the rooms were a big let down. We had 2 rooms, both smelled of smoke and the carpets were old, stained and unpleasant. The room was very dated and needs refurbishing. Disappointed with the rooms.

We took the tram/citytrain, was easy as I remember it. I think we had a ticket with 10 rides on it or something.
You can buy the T10 card either at the airport or at the tram station nearest the hotel. Not sure how you are getting from the airport to the hotel? The bus i took took 50 minutes but stopped so very close to the hotel and only cost €2.20 each way.
I am not sure. However there is a website that you can use to determine the exact cost from the hotel to the airport at a specific time of day. Just google taxi fairs for Barcelona. They are regulated by the government. Make sure you take one of the government listed taxis. There are gypsey cabs that will rip you off. It cost us 32 Euros for2 of us from the airport to the hotel
