The website told us they would be open, but when we got there there was no food to be had. Dining was only for guests staying at the hotel, apparently. They were only too pleased to take car-parking charges off us though. Waste of time.

As per the title, I didn't actually get to stay at the property. I wanted to share my outrageously bad customer experience though. 2 weeks before my stay I was reconfiguring my Norway trip, so needed to cancel some hotels. In error I had clicked a non-refundable room, the reservation was in place for 3 minutes before I cancelled and...

If you are a guide or a driver and you come to this hotel with a group, don't think you'll get the best room. The hotel and its owner are, may be, doing their best for individuals. But people making job for them - bringing customers - don't worth a decent treatment. It's 11 p.m. and I'm still with my...

GOOD: - Fantastic view from the room BAD: - Reception staff is okay, but the guy seems very annoyed by the questions you may have.. I felt uncomfortable talking with him the whole time. - 465 NOK for a diner buffet, which was honestly not good (no choice, cold dishes, and the food was even not good). Are you kidding?...

Overpriced, not clean, quality of a 2 star hotel (being generous). Manager was rude, unprofessional and unkind. No breakfast included despite the price of a 4 star hotel. Uncomfortable beds, outdated furniture and hotel in general. Bathroom had two towels for two guests, no shampoo conditioner or other specific soap, just generic soap that will dry your skin. Not what...

Great hotel, big rooms, nice mountain view. Make sure to drive to road 256 all the way. The service in the hotel is really good, nice folks. From Grainger drive south on road 36 and then turn left on road 15 and right to road 256 which is a paved road amazing view.

I don't know how this place does not have 5 star reviews across the board. Sure, the food is a little pricey... but it's not any more pricey than the rest of Norway. Considering the logistics of getting deliveries up the hill, it is quite reasonable. Everything else was perfect about this place. The gentleman working the front desk who...

We were on a cruise shore excursion and stayed for lunch. We had prawn cocktail, salmon and apple flan. The food was OK but nothing to write home about. The location of the hotel could not be beaten. It was absolutely stunning!

On a cruise-tour we stopped at this hotel restaurant and were served a light tomato broth with few vegetable;, a delicious and generous salmon with potatoes, light again on vegetables; and a small serving of ice cream for dessert. At the outset they served large numbers of people quickly; however, most people left before dessert ever came. The view from...

I would stay again purely for the location, what a stunning view we had from our room (valley view) the rooms were clean and comfortable as were the bathrooms and the hotel was quite traditional which was nice, lots of old photo's. The host was also very helpful, suggesting a fantastic place for us to eat in Geiranger. The food...
