Mid range hotel in a handy location on the central plateau. Rooms were very comfortable, with wet room bathroom. Food was good, but breakfast was not included and was a little pricey. The common areas were a little bland. The staff were very helpful. There was 500mb of free wifi after that was used you had to pay extra.

Stayed for two nights at this hotel. The room was small and not even a proper wardrobe. Old & simple architecture and definitely not recommendable for being a skiing resort. In Austria/Germany/Switzerland they would get only 1 star and it would be a cheap, basic backpacker place. Definitely overpriced for what you get. But everything was clean and tidy. Noise...

We wanted to do the Tongariro Crossing and were tossing between The Park and another provider. The Park's package was cheaper but the other provider had a much earlier shuttle. We emailed The Park re shuttle times and were told that the manager had said they could organise a 6.30am shuttle for us no problems (theirs goes at 7.30am, which...

Wow you have a lot to say. I hope people don't listen to the rubbish you have written. This is an awesome place to stay with awesome people working in it. I don't normally write back on reviews in this manner, I generally have time and effort to put into reviews and customers who actually appreciate life and treat people...

Like most people we stayed here to access the Tongariro Crossing. We stayed for 4 days to maximise the chance of the weather breaking, which it did; for 1 day. The rooms are small and very basic. My feet hung out of the single bed (I am 6ft tall) and we had to be very tidy to make sure we...

Stayed for one night on 29DEC, 2016 with my family. Room was clean and staff was friendly enough for me. As other rooms got a mini fridge (I could see through windows), I requested for one but they just said don't have one for my room. A bit shame as I remember that I had one when I stayed here...

Very friendly staff and great hotel. Nice modern room and bathroom. I wish there was bathtub but it seams it's very New Zealand thing not to have one as I havnt had in any hotel I've stayed so far. Great packages for the Tongariro Crossing hike - hotel organise drop off and pick up and also pack very nice lunch!...

The location of the place is good for doing all the hikes in the area. From the outside the hotel looks like an old barn, the rooms are standard with a tiny toilet/shower. They have a common area with kitchen and TV. On a good note, the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is an OK hotel, so don't...

It's ok, no problems at all. Rooms maybe a bit small. Second day we was a bit unlucky, had a family with kids over us. They was jumping around,....after 2 hours it's getting annoying. Don't know why they put family's on the second floor, makes no sense at all, as you can hear everything, also you're neighbours. A lot of...

I sent an email to book two nights in a standard double room because I had a grabone voucher. I mentioned it was my birthday and that I wanted a nice view. We had a dinner in the restaurant at 8.00pm and from 9.30pm the bar was closed. But we are in the restaurant still eating with some more customers, more tables and no more possibility to have a drink. I found that not professional at all!! Specially in the busy period!
