Have stayed here 3 times over 5 years and going back for our fourth visit soon. Definitely one of those places slightly off the beaten track (but close enough to a small town to drop in for lunch or wine farm visits). Owners very chilled and relaxed. Highly recommend .

During 2014 I managed to win a competition by guessing the number of plastic bottles created to make an unusual light at Shisa Guest Farm - a men only Bed and Breakfast. I was informed to take up the prize in October and finally arranged to spend the weekend of 24 - 26 October at Shisa. Throughout, the owners Francois... More

I visited the Shisa Guest Farm with eight friends for three nights in early January 2015. We used Shisa as a platform to explore the Northern wind lands whilst also taking the opportunity to relax around the pool in the attractive gardens which enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The property is of a unique being constructed in a... More

Architecture is amazing and the grounds lush and full of fun vignettes. Had a lovely couple of days here in Champagne Ste, which is terrific. More space and beautiful accommodation. Beautiful tub surrounded by windows but hot water runs out quickly. Appears we were end of season and not many guests. The property is spectacular and clothing optional is great... More

Whenever we are in South Africa we spend a few days at Shisa! This place is so relaxing from the moment you enter it. The whole [lace is designed, but still rustic. The hosts are very nice and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful! Amazing breakfast in the mornings. Shisa is an experince you shouldn't miss!

We arrived at Shisa! after spending three nights at the top-end Babylonstoren near Paarl. This is also a farm but a rather different one! The expression 'like-minded' is mentioned a lot in reviews and in truth it covers a lot, but the key point about Shisa! is the sublime sense of chill and relaxation whatever one is mindful to like.... Located in the wine country. This "farm house" is a brand new post modem beautiful design architecture (by the owner! Who's a renowned local architect) It's really a complex that has seperate guest houses, pool area, gardens, and the main building that has the bar, dance club, and dinning room. Order breakfast with your stay ! See my pics .

A peaceful environment in the Western Cape valley of Tulbagh; Somptuous breakfirsts with fresh herbs from the garden; Relaxing red pool and meeting nice people around a glass of wine; It is a kind of heaven detached from the rest of earth; Modern, simple and effective architecture and furnishing of the rooms; The garden of succulents is enchanting; Many visits... This was my fourth time here, always so relaxing. Would always advise a couple of days at this farm. Rooms are comfortable with No tv's so enforced relaxation. Great pool and areas for lounging around. Breakfast is great though no food served at any other time, Good local venues for eating.

Judging by previous reviews, photos and personal feedback from friends, we already had pretty high expectations of what this place should be like. Nonetheless, it delivered on all fronts and even exceeded in some points. The place itself radiates calmness most of the time and the owners have a way of making everyone welcome; even potentially tricky situations are dealt... More
