lovely family owned and run hotel. They couldn't do enough for us. The restaurant was closed but they prepared us a delicious supper. We loved hearing all about the history of their home and family. Thank you.

Very interesting building -apparently 500 yrs old. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food is of a high standard although I asked for medium steak and it was definitely rare! Dinner was quite expensive for a hotel but not bad value. Rooms are ok and in a shabby chic style. Wooden floors throughout mean that noise could be an issue...

It was very randomly that we booked this hotel for our two nights stay in Bilbao. As a part of our honeymoon in the basque region we had booked a dinner at Azurmendi and wanted to stay a hotel nearby this restaurant, by using trip advisor we came across this hotel that we thought would serve the purpose as a...

Definitely one of the most gorgeous hotels I've stayed in. The building is an old farmhouse and has been sensitivity converted, with lots of exposed beams and structural stonework, and large fireplace in the dining room. Our room was large, and contained some beautiful antique furniture - even the TV was mounted on an elaborate antique wooden easel. The bed...

I booked Iraragorri as it was near the depot for a rental motorcycle. I unexpectedly, due to its location in a suburb of Bilbao which was mainly high rise apartments, found it to be a very cool and stylish establishment. A historic building sympathetically restored with charming hosts. I sadly could not experience the cuisine as the kitchen was shut...

I booked this hotel for my short stay in the Bilbao area after I read so many positive comments about it. But I was wrong. A building with some rooms is not a hotel. It takes more to make a hotel out of a building. For one, common areas. There are practically no common areas in this premise. Then come...

This is a very good small hotel near Bilbao in what is in effect of family house. It's well situated to use as a base for touring in the top area of the Basque country as it is close to main routes. It is right across the road from a direct train line into Bilbao every 15 minutes and it's...

If you want to see Bilbao but want somewhere outside the city with peace, quiet and character with beautiful rooms then this is the place for you. A lovely location near to a local train station. Run by the Iraragorri family a lovely old farmhouse, with loads of character. We had a room on the first floor which was lovely....

When we arrived at this family run Hotel we received a very warm welcome despite the fact that the restaurant was packed and they were very busy. Initally we'd found it a bit difficult to actually locate the hotel as it didn't have any signs up apart from one saying just 'Hotel'. I guess we should trust our Sat Nav...

In a converted traditional property this hotel has lots of character. As it is a family run business there is far more of a personal touch about stay that you would get in a branded chain type hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a couple of days in Galdakao. The breakfast was traditional and fine and...
