We booked Las Sirenas upon the recommendation of a family member. We got a pretty great deal via Groupon so ended up choosing the all-inclusive package. The room was very clean and comfy, with high ceilings, cold AC, and a ceiling fan. The little balcony...More
Unless the beach is not crowded by turists coming from a docked cruise ship, or divers are not training in the roman style pool, it is PERFECT! For romantic get a way or family event or vacation. In house restaurant service competes with nearby offerings.

There's nothing within walking distance that I was aware of. Las Sirenas was about a 20 minute drive from our port. Part of the "all-inclusive" price we paid was actually that the resort provided our taxi service from the Carnival port so we didn't do any exploring around the area on our own. You can walk up and down the beach and there MIGHT have been places to eat, but most of the things I saw were resort-type places. There were plenty of things to do on the beach though.. jet skis, massages, scuba, etc.
