We had a very warm welcome here from Asa and Tryggen. Asa very kindly made us a Blotkake when we couldn't find one in Tromso. It was delicious. Our room was spacious being the disabled room on the ground floor of the little house we stayed in. The underfloor heating was amazing and I had to turn it waay down...

Have just spent 2 nights here with good friends. Have travelled all my life but never experienced anything similar. The nature is just fantastic in good (or bad) weather. I expect Veineset to be a good place for birdwatching, diving and just walking, There were lots of seals svimmimng close to the shore. The rooms in the guesthouse have been...

Our two-night stay at Kongsfjord Gjestehus was arguably the highlight of our 14 day trip to Finnmark. What a beautiful gem, so picturesquely perched on the edge of the fjord across the snow-clad isthmus from Kongsfjord village. Ase, the remarkable owner/renovator, and Margharetha, her able co-hostess, looked after our every need and couldn't have been more hospitable and charming. We...

The guesthouse sits on a small peninsular so visitors have both the arctic sea and snowy mountains to enjoy. In the day we explored the beaches, tried kick sledging (great fun!) and snowshoeing. The scenery is fantastic and there were numerous reindeer nearby to keep us company. Ase, Tryggen and Margerita were so kind and hospitable and the food was...

This guest-house is one of the best that we have ever stayed at, located on the Veines peninsula the location is just stunning, and Ase & Tryggen together with Margeritha are fantastic hosts with terrific meals and lots of stories about the area. The Veines peninsula is a great place to explore with varied wildlife and amazing scenery. Well worth...

This was different, and outstanding. We spotted the opportunity 3 years ago in a Finnair Magazine. It sounded intriguing and finally followed it up, and surpassed all hopes. Marvellous to plunge 4 nights into real far north winter, in a dark, cold snowy windy remote picturesque settlement by the Arctic coast. But with full comforts, a cosy well heated traditional...

We did as many others have done and stayed there as part of a Discover the World (a very good travel company highly recommended) self guided tour of Finnmark. Had two nights there and were treated royally. It happened to be my 65th birthday whilst we were there and when the staff found out we were treated to special King...

We spent almost a week in the restored fisherman's cottage that's right on the shore of the Berent Sea, the red cottage if you look at google street view, using it as a base for birding northern Finnmark. It was a fairyland experience, very comfortable yet somehow felt adventurous to people from sunny California. Dinners at the main house were...
