Very beautiful view on the ancient Roman city Volubilis. Allowing an easy access to the historical site, and hicking areas nearby, the hotel is the only one to offer such a tranquility and a safe haver from noisy and boring city life.

Close to the Roman ruins, great views, pool: all sounded good. However, the place needs a thorough update. Rooms are tired, soundproofing could be better, food was so-so, skimpy breakfast. Staff insisted on playing loud music in the bar and leaving all the doors open. Spotty Wifi. This is not a cheap place to stay either, compared to other Moroccan...

The ruins at Volubilis are just a couple of km outside Moulay Idriss, and they are both interesting, picturesque places to stay, so you have to decide if you want to stay in the town or near the ruins. We (family of four incl two small kids) opted for the latter, and stayed here in September 2013. It bills itself...

I absolutely don't agree with all negative reactions. Wonderful hotel, luxurious rooms, good food and outstanding service. European prices but worth every penny!

I and 4 of my friends had a worst lunch ever had in Morocco today 30/03/2012 in the restaurant of that hotel, it seem that the meat in their tagine was cocked 2 or 3 days ago, as they didn't give us chance to complain, because they told us that they have no boss , we wait him for 2...

If Fawlty Towers had been based in a large, modern many-roomed hotel, then this would be it. Terrible food, appalling service, ridiculous decor (poorly painted), smelly room initially (we found another one) ... and not surprisingly, completely and utterly empty. And ... they were re-building some of it (why?). Very close to the ruins and to Moulay Idriss, though, so...

Booked by our travel agent who arranged our private tour and we had little choice there. With hindsight, we should have stayed in Rabat and travelled up to Volubilis instead. It was a bit of building site as they were extending the garden I think? The workers started their noisy building work at 7am! The room was badly furnished. Everything...

a room with an extraordinary view or the roman ruins but the hotel seem to operate as a sleazy club for rich moroccans drinking hard liquor -- a definite dodgy air to to the place so not a place to feel comfortable or safe
