This is a working farm. We stayed in one of the casitas. Federico and Gaudi were very nice. You can watch the workers milking the cows. We stayed 3 nights and on the last day when we woke up, the cows were placed in the pasture where our casita was, it was fun and serene to have a view of...

This is a rustic farm setting but the beauty is out of this world. I have stayed here twice now and it is one of my favorite places. If you want luxury this is not for you but if you want to experience Monteverde and it's beauty this is it. Gaudy the owner is very helpful and friendly. I'll stay...

We stayed in the casita right at the entrance to the farm. It was a really unique experience to stay on an organic "carbon neutral" dairy farm. Our casita was well-equipped with gas range, fridge, basic food supplies (oil, salt, pepper, sugar), and had a solar-powered shower. It was really neat to learn about all the ways the farm is...

We went there on July 27, for two nights. With 3 kids (3,8 and 12yrs old) a normal hotel room is not for us. we took the river casita, a suv 4x4 is recommended to get there. My friends were amazed by the pictures of the place i have send. A nice full-equiped house alone in a quiet place, surrounded...

We held a yoga retreat in Costa Rica this year and our first stop was at Terra Viva Finca ... and we are so grateful for that! 18 people in our group, and all loved it. The family feel, hospitality and beauty of this location - all perfect! Feeding the baby cows was an absolute highlight!

These were rustic accommodations not too far from town. We arrived and the hosts weren't there, but were greeted in Spanish by someone else living there. No problem; we managed to communicate that Gaudy was in town and would be back in five minutes. Gaudy arrived and we followed her and her daughter to the casita. Most of this review...

I organized a group of 18 of us to stay at the farm as part of a tour of Monteverde and a yoga retreat. Many of us had never been on a farm before, so it was quite an eye-opening experience. We soaked it all up, like sponges, and Gaudy and her team were more than happy to share it...

My wife and I and our two young children visited this farm with the intention of staying 2 enjoyable nights. We ended up staying 1, unpleasant, night. We are fans of farm stays and this wasn't our first. I will mention that we were the only guests at the farm while we were there. We were informed that we could...

We feel blessed by the opportunity to meet people from around the world that having a place to stay in our working farm gives us. Feel extremely sorry that this gentleman had to wait to write this negative/destructive opinion of our place, having had the chance to talk to us in many opportunities we actually were together, including 20 minutes...

I've stayed 3 nights at Terra Viva twice now, and I just love it! Friendly and knowledgable hosts help you get the most out of your stay. The horseback ride on the farm trails to the top of the continental divide was a thrill! Rooms are comfortable, with hot showers and great home-cooked meals. I like the sustainability focus of...

At Terra Viva you'll have a chance to hike the splendid trails along the continental divide, experience the workings of an environmentally responsible dairy farm, and visit with the hosts. I loved getting up early and wandering over to the barn as the cows were being milked and listening to the cowhand singing to the cows. The pet pig Igor...
