The Kempinski Hotel Ishtar gives you the opportunity to enjoy its riches where Queen of Sheba and Cleopatra once strived to unravel mystery. Situated gracefully on the shores of the largest spa in the world the Dead Sea, unique for its ozone-rich air, mineral sea water and ultra-violet filtered sunshine. Surely there is no region on earth where nature and history have more wonderfully conspired, where so exciting drama has obtained a so beautiful theatre.

Great resort. Brilliant for families, the lifeguards are brilliant with kids. Rooms are clean and a good size. Super friendly staff and great service. Bajes, Mousa, Ramy, May and Princess were fantastic over our 2 day stay. The beach Dead Sea and mud experience is great.

Hotel's Favourite
A colossal property with an amazing architecture. Apart from the two infinity pools there’s a basin type pool that is temperature controlled and another pool named “Lazy River” that runs across the property. In addition to the hotel spa, we were given a 5-star mud bath and a salt scrub including a dead sea bath by “Jalal and Eid”, which instantly makes your skin soft like butter and relaxes your body and soul. The hotel captures magnificent Sunsets with two gorgeous views, thanks to another extremely helpful soul Waleed, who went out of the way to help us around the pool and also providing invaluable tips on how to get better sunset pictures from two different places. Cleanliness & Safety • Round the clock staff who are responsible for this make sure that all areas of the hotel meet its quality of cleanliness, rooms are cleaned everyday by default and if for any case the “Do Not Disturb” sign is attached to the door, then the staff will have to be requested for cleaning. • Special thanks to Ivan who made us welcomed and cared while providing us a good history of the hotel and the country. Many thanks to his hospitality and special attention tendered to us during the breakfast. Food • Had a continental buffet on both days with a good international spread, which was arranged in the main restaurant. Another special thanks to Era and Desire who looked after us and made us feel special. • In room dining is possible but expensive, as this includes service charge and taxes. • We had dinner from two restaurants, one was Rehan (Lebanese), which had extraordinary Mixed Grill and a mouth-watering lamb dish named Uzi. Thanks to Hassan who made the special recommendation. • The other is Mediterranean restaurant which has huge portions of pasta and beef lasagne. Accommodation • If you are requesting for a Sea View room, I guess you have to have to villas in the beach front with rooms on the top. Rooms 2301 and 2303 seems to have a better view. • We got a deluxe room which was facing the lazy river swimming pool and the distance view of the Dead Sea. Best request for the lower rooms such as 2701/2703/2601 where you get to enjoy the direct access to the pool with an outdoor private lounge. Value for money: • Value for money was satisfying regarding all aspects of the hotel. However, if you are taking a package, we recommend obtaining a Half-board package. Facilities • All rooms had a Dental Kit, Sanity Kit, toiletries, towels, bath robes and Bed Room Slippers. • Tea/coffee and Creamer are also placed in the villas and more could be requested if necessary with unlimited water supply. • Every room comes with a TV and Hot/Cold water for showers. A safe keeping facility is also available to be used to keep your valuables safe. WIFI is also provided for every room and it is superfast. • Hotel provides a buggy car service to get around facility faster and Basem was helpful and gave us an extended tour on the invaluable collection of olive trees where some of them are older than 700 years. Finally has to thank the Guest Relations Managers, Era and Ivan who were extraordinarily helpful and polite. Truly, top class and they made a good stay even better.

The award-winning Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea lies gracefully on the shores of the world's oldest natural spa – the Dead Sea! This hotel has received so many accolades and I now understand why! Our stay there was simply outstanding! From the rooms, the service, dining and spa this place is outstanding is very category! I really wish we could have stayed there longer! On arrival we were offered an upgrade to one of their Villa rooms overlooking the Dead Sea for a surcharge which we decided to take and we were not disappointed. Our room terrace overlooked the Dead Sea along with access a semi-private pool. The resort itself is huge and there are golf carts to whizz guests around in which always arrived within a few mins of calling. Around the resort they also serve you free mini cooling drinks- the lime and pink guava cooler was exactly what was needed in the heat! There is also a gentleman who walks around cleaning your sunglasses! There is bar / café near the pool that services snacks, drinks and ice cream. Dining We had dinner at Rehan on the outdoor terrace, the food was some of the best Lebanese food I have eaten! Especially the Batata Hara They also provided Gluten Free Arabic Bread! Breakfast at The Obelisk was a sumptuous affair overlooking the Dead Sea- everything from fresh juices, Middle Eastern, Continental, salads, cereals, American, egg station, oriental, pancake station along with waiters walking around with hawker carts serving shakshuka! You literally couldn’t ask for anything more! Spa The Ishtar Spa has won many awards and its easy to understand why! The Therapists are as outstanding as the facilities. The treatment rooms are huge and extremely comfortable. The spa has its own dead sea pool which is heated along with six outdoor individual treatment and relaxation areas, hydro-facilities with a steam room, sauna, and whirlpool, Tepidarium heated lounges etc. I had the Arabian Desert Oud package and the massage was one of the best that I’ve ever had! The massage uses five styles of long, gliding, flowing strokes to take you into a zen like state! The hotel offers direct access to the Dead Sea with an area solely for hotel guest use. There are huge jars of complimentary Dead Sea mud and Dead Sea salts for use along with showers on the shore. Our stay was magnificent and I hope to return one day soon! Thank you Kempinski for making our stay a very memorable one!

Kempinski Hotel was an amazingly relaxing experience, specially staying within the Ishtar Spa by Resense (great views and access to the Wet Spa). Floating in the dead sea and applying mud is an experience everyone needs to try. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind and thoughtful in making sure our stay was relaxing. Special shoutout to Mohammad Aref and Desiree for taking care of us and the room, and thanks to all the staff at the spa. For the overall hotel, I'd suggest having more dessert options in the evenings, and perhaps more activities besides eating after sunset.
