The Kempinski Hotel Ishtar gives you the opportunity to enjoy its riches where Queen of Sheba and Cleopatra once strived to unravel mystery. Situated gracefully on the shores of the largest spa in the world the Dead Sea, unique for its ozone-rich air, mineral sea water and ultra-violet filtered sunshine. Surely there is no region on earth where nature and history have more wonderfully conspired, where so exciting drama has obtained a so beautiful theatre.
Star ratings are intended to indicate the general level of features, amenities, and services to expect. This property is classified according to Giata.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

We had a wonderful experience. The property is huge, so many pools, bars, wonderful food, and hospitable staff. The Dead Sea experience is so much fun. The kids club is huge and the staff (Rachel) is so accommodating. The best part of the trip was how the staff was so friendly with the kids, especially Ivan and Khaled, they went out of their way to give us a wonderful tour of the property, and were so so kind to our kids. Truly a memorable experience.

The hotel exceeded all expectations. The service was 10/10, the sense of security was 10/10, and the respect was equally outstanding. They paid attention to the tiniest details, even helping parents during breakfast and dinner to seat their children at the table and encourage them to eat, going so far as to cut the meat for my child to motivate him to eat the meal.
There was no disturbance as there were multiple pools, each suitable for a specific group. For instance, families and children had a designated pool where some noise was unavoidable, but when you decide you want peace and quiet, you can go to the adults-only pool or the beach. There are also various other pools.
The service inside the hotel was excellent. It was our first visit to the Dead Sea in Jordan, my wife and I, and we decided that every month or two, we will book the hotel for a two-day break. We even decided to become regular loyal customers of the hotel.
Regarding value for money, you pay 10 and get a quality of 100, which is rare in tourism. This is not because the hotel’s policy is to attract people with cheap prices, but because the hotel's policy is to provide top-notch service regardless of whether prices are cheap or high in any given season.
When I fell ill one day and called the reception, they took care of me and checked on me to make sure I was OK. The atmosphere was so comfortable that I could leave my 78-year-old mother and not worry about her, and I could leave my children and wife and not worry about them. That feeling alone makes you respect this hotel, its manager, and its staff, from the manager down to any position.
I noticed that all employees perform their duties with dedication, and the most important thing I noticed is a hierarchical management policy where employees are monitored based on ranks. There is a manager, above him another manager, and everyone monitors everyone else to ensure the best service is provided.
I won’t go into specifics about why it’s 10/10, but everything was excellent. The food was abundant, bottled water and soft drinks in the room were free, and the minibar was refilled for free.
And the quality of the air conditioning in the rooms is one of the best I have experienced in a hotel after visiting more than 17 hotels around the world.

Stayed here, unfortunately, for only two nights and had a great experience from the moment that we checked in, and were upgraded to a Junior Suite, until we unfortunately had to leave.
This must be one of the most luxurious hotels/resorts that we have stayed in. The resort was huge, cascading down the hill to the banks of the Dead Sea with multiple accommodation options, swimming pools and spas, dining and bar options and a wonderful Hamman.
Our Junior Suite was huge with a large balcony that afforded us a glorious view over the rest of the property and across the Dead Sea to Israel. The room was extremely well furnished with a king-sized bed (very comfortable), a three seater lounge, coffee table, desk and chair, large flat screen TV, wardrobe with drawers, shelves and hanging spaces, safe, tea and coffee making facilities and a mini-bar. There was also a separate study area.
The bathroom was also large with a good sized vanity basin, walk-in shower and a separate bath.
Our suite was spotlessly clean and the included WIFI worked well.
Our Suite was in one of the buildings close to reception, which was near the top of the resort and a fair way uphill from the Resort's private beach on the banks of the Dead Sea. It did not take long though to work out that there were lifts in several of the different buildings on the way up the hill that you could take the made the walk far less of an uphill affair. Alternatively, you could always request a lift in one of the little golf carts that ferried guests around the resort.
The private beach where you could go swimming in the Dead Sea and cover yourself with healing mud, was excellent and there were towels, deck chairs, bathroom facilities and outside showers to wash the mud off. We then retreated to the warmer showers and a swim in the heated infinity pool - where more towels were available.
Breakfast was a sumptuous feast. You would have been hard pressed not to find something to your liking!
Amongst the many dining and bar options we found the Sumerian Terrace to be an excellent venue, overlooking the Dead Sea, with quite a good light meal and snacks menu. Qusai, Labib and Kamal looked after us exceedingly well.
However all of the staff that we encountered whether it be at the Dead Sea Beach, the pools, the pool bar, breakfast, golf carts, Hamman, reception etc were exceptional.
Would absolutely recommend this place to all.

Words cannot describe how incredible our experience at the Kempinski Ishtar was. Every single detail of our stay from start to finish was truly perfect, and the hospitality was out of this world. We came to the Dead Sea at the end of our trip to Jordan to relax and unwind after days of hiking and climbing and exploring and we are so thankful that we chose the Kempinski hotel. In particular we would like to thank the incredible staff who went above and beyond at every opportunity. Thank you Jalal working at Dead Sea beach for being such a great host and for always making sure we had everything we needed. The other staff at the beach were also very attentive and made us very comfortable while applying the mud masks and salt scrubs. We would also like to thank the numerous breakfast staff at the Obelisk who catered to us constantly and were such a pleasure to be around. We are also ESPECIALLY thankful to the housekeeping staffer Yanal for making our villa as clean and cozy as possible. Words can’t explain how good it feels to come in from a day of swimming to find the beds re-made, room completely organized, and toiletries restocked multiple times a day. There are very few places in the world that I would visit again just to stay at the same hotel– but the Kempinski is one of them.

Had a wonderful time here good food, amazing service, and great spa time too. The Dead Sea itself was a magnificent site to behold, and to float in the sea itself was another experience on its on. The people who work here as well are absolutely top notch, and I never felt I was I treated horribly. I want to give a specific shoutout to one of the people who took care of my room when going out to do activities around the resort. His name was Mohamuad, great guy and I really appreciate the work he’s done as well!

We stayed at this wonderful Dead Sea Resort on the return of our incredible trip to Jordan after visiting Amman, Jerash Petra,, the Mount Nebo, the Wadi Rum desert and the other wonders of this enchanting country The structure is large and well-kept in Babylonian style with hanging gardens spread throughout the large Resort. Our rooms, and those of my children were spacious, with bathtub and shower, were with terrace, deckchairs on the solarium and balcony, Villa 2308 and 2309, with sea views from where we admired breathtaking sunsets in the Dead Sea. The cleanliness of the rooms was something incredible, they are redone 2 times a day, the breakfast is super for the assortment of food it offers and for the quality that is a guarantee in all Kempinski hotels I have been to. The professionalism, kindness and friendliness of the staff who are at the sea, made us spend relaxing moments carefree. The care of mud massage and salt scrub is 10 and praise, and I must mention and thank the nice Suleiman and Muhammad, who was very kind to collect salt crystals as a souvenir to take home. The waiters at the Lebanese restaurant Rihan where we ate divinely are very competent and diligent, and speak fluent English.Congratulations to the Lebanese Chef whose name I do not remember, who prepares excellent and fragrant dishes.Chapeau!.A special thanks to Mr. Ali Mansour, Director of Banqueting throughout the Resort, a person of great depth, very professional and very nice who offered us the dessert, delicious creams scented with rose water and cheered our dinners at the Rihan Thanks to all the staff at this magical Resort, from the shuttle drivers who picked us up from our comfortable villas, to the lifeguards, waiters and sea staff. It is a wonderfully beautiful and well-kept place where relaxation and the sense of well-being that it instills is unique, surely we will return soon because we remained in the heart for the atmosphere and magic that you live being pampered all day. Thank you all❤️ Angelo Taravella

I needed to renew my stay for one night. I saw a discount for membership on the official website. I asked the front desk attendant if I could proceed with the renewal directly at the front desk at my membership price. The attendant told me no, they could only offer regular prices. If I have another price, please book it myself in the relevant channels. I have expressed, not other third party channels, is the kempinski official website, is your official website. But waiters still express no, and don't care about chatting to other waiters. Eventually we had to go back to our room, enter our own credit card, complete the reservation after a series of processes, and call the reception desk to tell them we had completed the reservation and ask them to reserve the room. I simply can't understand that being in a hotel requires customers to make their own reservations online. If you have the heart to follow up on this, I'm sure you'll be able to find the waiter on duty the night before I renewed my stay, who is the only one working at the front desk. Room service also had some minor problems: our long hair used shampoo more, called to request delivery of three new shampoos, only to go out for a trip and back to the room, which was updated to three shampoos, other shower gel, conditioner were gone, we had to call them again to deliver. The waiter might understand that we only need three shampoos? But the average person shouldn't understand it that way. The other experiences were good, the hotel design, maintenance, everyone's smiley face as they passed, the beautiful pool, and accidentally getting water into my eyes while playing in the Dead Sea. The waiter immediately flushed me down with fresh water, all of which impressed me. It's a place I hope to go back to and I've raised the bad experience and hope the hotel can improve and be better. In the end, the lady in red impressed us, and her smile and meticulous daily greetings made us feel warm.

Loved the rooms renovation! The new furniture and colora are so relaxing at the same it still has the same vibes and Kempinski identy.
The check in was done in no time and we got our room prepared ahead of time, the front desk staff were amazing, i would like to thank hussein and Loay they were cooperative and professional.
But as usual my best part is the infinity pool and the staff there, very polite and welcoming, they serve yummy stuff 😍 and they maintain the safety of the guests, i remember Anas and Mohammad names because they were really helpful even in things not relevant to the pool area but other hotel facilities, they were too kind and welcoming
I am looking forward to come back again since the renovation made the place more tempting for another stay The hotel is fully booked but the nice fact that you dont really feel the traffic of people, even in the breakfast area everything is well arranged and organized, even the omlette side cheff was so nice, he followed exact notes how we liked to have our omlettes he was so kind and patient
Kempinski dead sea never failed to impress us😍

My husband and I travelled to the Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea Resort in March for 5 nights and we stayed in the Resense Spa area. It is hard to describe succinctly our experience. The staff, from the Lady in Red to Mohamad T our concierge, the restaurant staff, the drivers, the spa staff and last but not least at all our cleaner Mohamad treated us with the utmost care. We were treated kindly by everyone who were always available to see if we needed anything and never overbearing - kind, friendly and professional.
The location was stunning, the view from our room was serene and peaceful, and the spa experience was so relaxing especially the hydrotherapy and the indoor Dead Sea pool and saunas. We went everyday and went down to the Dead Sea almost everyday to float and receive Dead Sea mud massages from the staff. The room was very large and more than comfortable. We had everything we needed including a daily stocked fridge with cold drinks and water, and daily fresh fruit and nuts.
The breakfast was fantastic- so fresh and so many choices, we felt we didn’t need to eat until dinner. The Lebanese restaurant in the hotel is a real treat, the food is fantastic and offers a lot of choices, the Lebanese chef is very particular in offering the best of Lebanese cuisine ( I am Lebanese so I am very particular about my Lebanese food!) and he may even treat you to some music !
It was exactly what we needed, a break that offered quiet comfort, rest and detaching from the stresses of every day life in a luxurious setting. Thank you Kempinski Ishtar! What a beautiful place !!

This was our second visit to Kempinski Hotel Ishtar, and once again, the experience was amazing. The room service exceeded our expectations—our room was cleaned twice daily, and a small towel was placed at the foot of the bed.
The food was incredible—delicious and beautifully presented. The pools were fantastic, offering stunning views of the Dead Sea. We stayed in one of the suites, which was spacious, well-designed, and featured a lovely balcony.
The only downside was the presence of flies, particularly in the restaurant and around the pool areas. If the hotel could address this, the stay would be flawless.
Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we look forward to returning!

the beach close at sunset. bear in mind that take off mud and salt with showers located in the beach is not sufficient and there is not a changing room there. perhaps in the main building (far from the beach) you can find a changing room provided with showers and hair dryers. ask at the reception when you check-in
