We stayed 3 nights in the self catering cottages. We have no complaints. Cottages were clean and comfy. Woke up in the mornings to buffalo, ostrich, deer, bok feeding at the waterhole. During the day down at the restaurant we saw giraffes, zebra, buffalo, wildebeest, ostrich walking by. The big cats are in enclosures however, if you are staying with...

We staid here for one night at one of the luxury chalets ... these chalets are dated and very old fashion ... I do not even consider them farmstall design. Game drive is nice but the big magnet are the lion which are held in a very small environment. We were told that this will only be temporarily. If you...

I recommend Buffelsfontein to those who don't have enough time to see animals in a National Park. It is not really my cup of tea since I dislike to see animals in cages, particular those once like Lions who need large space areas to room. The accommodation was nice. Food was average and unfortunately the Bar was closed at our...

We had a peaceful fun time here in 16 bed roundhouse. 6 family rooms. Watched rugby in bar, braii outside house, rhinos came to window, amazing sunrises. Bring your own matches. Kids loved it! Excellent!

Stayed at Buffels for the past weekend in the luxury chalets. we were party of 10 adults and one child. Plenty of game - rhino, eland, blue wildebeest, giraffe... Although the prices for accommodation is a bit steep for South Africans, the chalets are smart, well-equipped. it only offers a few DStv channels, but who wants to watch tv when...

A lovely overnight stay, saw everything we expected. Staff were lovely. Animals beautiful. The Lion enclosure is far too small, but believe they are updating this. Only an hours drive from Capetown. The overnight lodge was brilliant, nearly bumped into a buffalo just outside the lodge. Willis was a great ranger. Somebody on a previous review slated this place said...

We came to Buffelsfontein one day to do the shorter guided game drive. For R250 each, boy did we get much more than our money's worth! Firstly, young Ruann was an excellent guide. He took us right up to all the animals: giraffes, various buck, rhinos, wildebeest, zebras and ostriches... you name it. What we found great about the setup...

The views are stunning - we stayed in the luxury self-catering cottages. However, the AC didn't work properly and when we plugged something into a socket the power kept on tripping. But overall still a great experience!

My husband and I stayed here and had a fantastic time. We first communicated by email and we received prompt replies. We were picked up from Cape Town International Airport by Paul. He took us to Buffelsfontein. We stayed 2 nights in chalet no. 1. It was a lovely chalet overlooking a waterhole. Sandy brought a basket of goodies for...
