Very impressive approach and exterior - large stately home type building with enormous grounds and lake. Interior public rooms similarly impressive.
We had basic 'country classic' room. Large and smart decor. Excellent shower but no bath. King bed, v comfortable. Good wifi in room.

To Celebrate my wife's birthday we decided to do afternoon tea. The service, food, location and experience was flawless. I cannot express how good this place is. We have booked up again for tea in August and will go again on Christmas Eve!!

There is a craft shop and lovely cafe attached to the walled garden which is separate to the main hall on the estate -about 3 mins on foot. If you are in the main carpark looking at the main front door of the hall then the walled garden is over to the right - you either walk over the little hill or go back towards the main gate and follow the path round.

Sorry just seen your question, however I notice that Wynyard have answered you anyway. Hope you enjoy it! The afternoon tea is usually lovely maybe I just hit an off day because of the hot weather. I will certainly go back 😀
